New Traynor YBA 100!!

It certainly makes sense if a person wants a dual duty rig. I wouldn't hesitate to set it up at any venue for guitar.

I'm slowly going through all my basses with this rig. Easiest to dial in a great tone with a Precision (naturally). So far I've tried my USA P, USA Geddy Jazz, Squier 51 P, '74 Rick, Gibson T-bird and Gibson Midtown. So far everything sounds great. The Rick in particular sounds like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse through the YBA. And it's the happiest I've ever been with the Geddy since I bought it. The mids are the magic (duh) and where I do the most of the adjustments. I did have to dial a lot of lows out of the Midtown, but that thing is a boom machine anyway...and I am playing through a 1x15, so to be expected. Very pleased with this amp. I've only tried a couple of dirt pedals at this point, but it seems to play nice.
Next up a '78 3001 and Gibson SG.

Dark tones, clanky tones ... what a beautiful amp!

Delivery of a YBA100 by drone ? That would have some rock star quality !

Ah! They got some more stock so I swapped for a different amp. New one is working great! I want more cabs now hehe.

For the guy asking about metal... If you are okay with some drive it will work. Click on the deep switch and crank the gain gets you that big bottom clanky top darkglass tone that seems to be hip these days. Not much clean headroom though unless you have a pretty efficient cab. I play post rock/prog metal and I'm loving the resonance switch in with all the eq at noon. Gain around 1400 it just starts to kick in and is very responsive to your picking dynamics. Going to crank it up tomorrow then do some tracking on the weekend. Can't wait!

He recently worked on a old Fender Champ for me. Bought and sold some pedals with him as well. One of the best pedal collections I've seen.

Also got to play one of his bass amp creations. Pretty rad.

His Bass amps are pretty nice tone wise, some of his cabinets are nice sounding too, only played through a few, at in-store/showroom volume levels, but haven gigged them.
As a repair Tech, he has a advantage that most tech don't have, he builds tube-based, bass amps, from the ground up, which in my opinion, is a huge plus, in repair work troubleshooting
