New Valenti on order!

Congrats on the incoming bass! Looks like great choices. I know you will not be disappointed. Nino does great work. I was very very lucky to be able to buy one of his instruments used. I think very highly of it, and it gets a lot of play--sometimes in situations where you would not expect a 5-string tenor (EADGC) tuned ebony fingerboard sporting fretless tone machine to appear, like, derr...a country gig!!! Yup. Did it. Sometimes a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do. :p

worked great.

Im thinking of ordering a Valenti after summer. Serious GAS going on:D, i have been thinking of a Presicion-style, Ash-body, Mapleneck and fingerboard, Black block inlays and binding, Black Hardware, Black pickguard. The bodycolour isnt clear to me yet, maybe something like cherry burst or something Blue.:bassist:

Im conserned about the shipping,i live in Finland and i have heard terrible stories about guitars coming from USA to Europe and have taken some bad damage even when packed in a hardcase. And what would the shipping cost? :confused:

I just got off the phone with Nino. My bass is finally complete! Here she is:

This is Nino's first spalted top. I'll be heading out tonight to pick her up, and I'll post a review after tomorrow night's rehearsal.

Nino, Tim Cloonan, and Roger have been absolutely great to work with on this project through the issues that unfortunately came up during construction. Hopefully, the result is that they have created an instrument that we can all be proud of!

Congrats the bass is beautiful (killer splat top)and I'm sure it's going to sound great too. I've had my Valenti for a while now and it seems to play and sound better every time I pick it up. Similar config but Big Singles and OB3 and quilted TSB maple top. I hope sometime in the future Nino would consider making a 6 string I'm sure a lot of us would be all over it.

Thanks! I got mine with the Nordstrand dual coils so I could get a little more flexibility and variety of tones. I'm pretty excited about it. It will probably take a while to uncover what this combination can really do. I can't wait to pick this up later tonight!
