I don't think so. I can only speak of the rack mounted versions, but I can't imaging them not having the same electronics.
I've toured with these running high end in ear monitor systems, where you can hear everything. I've done the test with going to a cable, and it seems very transparent. If you are running a really long cable you might notice a little lack of high end in the cable, as the wireless isn't sucking the life out of your guitar. If it's too bright, then just eq it a little.
These are taylor made for the gigging musician, and more than most casual gigging club musician will ever need.
I only mention string vibration because I notice that when I play soft everything sounds clear, when I dig in it's almost like I hear the rattle vibration of the strings in the signal. It's faint and not heard in a mix and maybe not through an amp because I'm only used headphones since I've got it but enough to make me wonder. I don't think it's a faulty device by any means, I just don't notice that sound when I use a cable so it makes me wonder if the added brightness of the wireless signal brings it out.
