Ouch, compression + noise reduction + amp model... No luck with more effects. Seems I will look around for a Boss MFX in case my B2 dies in future.

I have the G3 (and G2.1Nu) but I may hold out for a futue bigger version with more effect slots, global noise gate, eq and MIDI. Integrated pedals like the current B9 and G9 would be a plus for me too.

B3 is a metal case like the B2/B2.1u
B1 B1x is still plastic. FWIW except for the jacks all my old Zoom plastic pedals held up just fine 506, 607 and G1x all been stomped with my big heavy feets with no problems.
Those plastic jacks otoh do give up after a while.
Yes and interesting to see how they crippled the functionality of B2 as you could add a whole chain of about eight effects or so into one patch so you have much better control.
I don't think the B3 is meant to compete with the "swiss army" capabilities of a GT10b or B9.1u.

They will probably do. Since they copied the scheme of the Line6 M9, they shall likely release their own M5.
they should have just made this a single stomp box that could model any one of 200 stomp boxes and sold it for around $50 -ish..........

Indeed! Allan Holdsworth uses ONLY those little thingies for all his non-rack effects (or at least he did at one point, albeit something like 5-6 of them at the very least
). If I were to name a pedal which I wished to have revived, this would be it.
It doesn't really matter if the one you buy is fixed or not, since they released a system upgrade you can download.

Based on the graphics and controls in the manual I'd guess that the Z-syn is modeled after the G5.
