Just realised there is no AcBs Pre, wasn't that the only option for a Hpf? It's an always on feature for me.

I'm already applying money slowly to my Amazon account! By the time the release date rolls around I should be ready to order.Facebook page says "Available March 2017 for $199.99"
Well they did say that there will be additional models available for download so maybe it will be there.Just realised there is no AcBs Pre, wasn't that the only option for a Hpf? It's an always on feature for me.
The new drive engines seem promising !!
But no 15" cab sim. I really like the AG15 on the B3 when playing with headphones.

Weird how upset people are over something that was IMO not very usable to begin with.To think, with the extra $50 Zoom is squeezing we bass players for, all they needed to do was use $5 of it to include an XLR output and almost guarantee themselves more less-reluctant players to squeeze!
The latest Facebook comments on the XLR elimination are merciless!
That's funny - I actually found some uses for Bomber. The intro to Little Red Corvette comes to mind.I'll pay an extra $50 if they take the Bomber off the list.
@jimfist what can you confirm to the above questions as a G5n owner and user of Guitar Lab software?
I am curious to learn how much room there is on the hardware for the downloading of new models before space runs out.
- IIRC, the unit shipped with somewhere a little under 50% of total memory occupied by models and effects. To date, with all of the added fx and models added, there is still about +/-40% of the available space left...IOW, LOTS of room left.
Equally, I am curious to learn if it is possible to delete the default included models (in addition to the downloadable ones of course.)
- I don't think you can remove models and effects once they are installed. Not 100% sure about this, but I believe I tried to get rid of some stuff and had no luck.
Perhaps G5n owners can answer this already?
The answer to question 2 above may also answer if it would be feasible then to turn a G5n into a true B5n (and not a G5n, with stock guitar models, and with a finite amount of bass downloadables also on board.)
- I wouldn't hold my breath that ZOOM will allow models and effects to be downloaded tp include cross-populating the G5n/G3n with the B3n models. I'd love this to be the case so that I could just keep my G5n and have all the bass goodies to boot. I've noticed that some of the new G5n effects have made it across to the B3n.
Thanks!
Q: Are stock, built-in G5n effects also available for download to the G5n? This would indicate that one could perhaps recover them if need be (and that they are deletable)?
The pedal is still stuck to fixed parameters
effects really aren't original or innovative at all, save the Bk pedals.
I own 20yo multis that let you control any effect parameter with the expression pedal. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Here it's only 1 fixed parameter for choosen effects. What does that mean, exactly?
