New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Now I just saw that the MS60B has the HPF and LPF option too, plus I can run 4 different effects at the same time. Is it that true? cuz the smaller the better ;)

Aside from that, has anyone a demo of how the ZNR sounds with a moderate to high gain setting? I can not find anything on the web and I know that you guys already told me that it works good and stuff but it is never going to be the same reading opinions from a forum that listening to the actual thing working.
The deal with the MS60B is that it is a great little pedal, but the live interface is a little clunky and hard to work around. I use mine for ZNR, amp/cab sim, and 2x2 Band parametric eq’s. Always on stuff. The B3n has all my effects and different tones set up so I can access everything with the click of a button. I have HP and LP in every patch so I can maximize the power in my DSR112.

I see, I'm basically looking for a always on pedal since I just want a HPF/LPF and a good and transparent NR everything else would just be a plus. That's why I was wondering if I could just use those 2 pedals at the same time on the MS60B.

I don’t believe there is a LPF on the 60. It does have the ACBsPre that has a HPF in it that I used before the N got one. So if you can do without the LPF you would do well with the 60!

Thats what I thought. Dont you have any sound sample of the ZNR working by chance?
I don’t, but to be totally honest, if I didn’t have single coils in my bass, I wouldn’t even know it was on! Very subtle, and I doubt that high gain would affect it at all. I never hear my 60 cycle hum, because the ZNR subtly cuts the note right before its audible.

Hi, I'm interested in buying the B3n, but I would like to know more about using the expression pedal: can I use it to control some parameters such (for example) delay time, or tremolo depth? I downloaded the effects list pdf and couldn't find any effect (outside the few effects in the "pedal" category) with the "P" symbol (meaning that the parameter could be assigned to the expression pedal); on the other hand, checking the effect lists for the older B3 and the cheapest B1Xon there are many effects with the "P" symbol, in every category. So, despite the B3n being the more recent and expensive Zoom bass multieffect, is it the more limited regarding expression pedal use? The firmware and Guitar Lab updates improved on this?

Sold ny B3n, had it a year, liked it, but spent too mych wasted tine just fiddling rather than playing. Some real pros to the unit and some cons. Darkglass mxr m80 great sims as are most if the amp sims, the echoplex pre amp is superb as is the exotic BB. Choeus are ok, phaser not so much, all the fuzz are poor, just too artificial and with the exception of the BB and blueberry so are the distortions, indact some are just plain horrendous.
Going back to just usung amp settings ans 4-5 pedals that suit my needs. The bypass is just useless and the unit dies not play well with other external pedals.
As an all in one unit it does some things very well and i dud creats some great patches, the downloadable and built in ones where all no interest to me at all.
I may miss it, but can pick them up fairly cheap nowadays new or second hand. Overall taking the units cost into account it’s probably 7/10.

I went through the same effort a while back, finding it difficult to believe that an expression pedal would have so few effects it could control on the B3n. Alas, I agree with megarat, the only effects an expression pedal can control are the ones in the Pedal section of the effects list.

As far as I understand, the expression pedal is pretty limited and can only be used for volume or wah. You can't use it to tweak any other parameters.

Thank you, that's really disappointing, possibly a dealbreaker for me, because I was planning to use the more experimental and ambient sounds, using the pedal to control various parameters.
