Was just hanging out with Steve Jenkins in NYC and he was telling me about this. From what he says, sounds pretty great!
I've used it both with a daisy chain with my other effects and on it's own with a shredfreak PSU and it's frozen when using both. It definitely is something wrong with the units because many people have said their's have stopped freezing since installing the 1.003 update. Richard sent me the 1.004 beta update and it seems to be working a treat, they just have to iron out a few glitches, that's all.

I was powering it off a 100mA output of my BBE. hopefully the 200mA one is a bit underrated and it should be enough. seems stable for the moment, although I dont have the SD card installed. when I playing with it at first, I was using a 1000mA psu. worst case I'll use a dedicated one. thanks for the smart thinking

Oh come on, it does an awful lot more than that. I guess you're just not into bass synth.
Some of us play in electronic settings where a variety of synth tones is VERY useful.
If I want to play the Tom Sawyer sweep I'll do it on my minimoog.

I;m definitely getting the feeling that it'll take a lot longer to really get my head around it!

This pedal is huge! Wow it can do a lot and for the first time it allows a user to have seemingly full control.
I'm unfortunately out of a job and have to let mine go (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=480142) but I this thing will be the first thing I buy after a couple of paychecks.

It is a great pedal although i had a patch level issue with it at the gig on the weekend. Maybe we could start posting our patches and share them around a bit ... im still having troubl;e setting up the sounds that i want.. Just dont have the time to put into it at the moment.
Another +1 from me! I've got a three day weekend coming up though, so I'll put some time into it then.
Ugh. I really want to buy one but the software bugs and the minimalist interface which IMO hinders creativity is holding me back.

Been playing around more and it just amazes me how much is packed into this little unit.
My passive Fender Jazz seems to track a little better than my Status/T-bass. I have a feeling some mild compression will help more.
Totally worth the time it takes to figure some of the functions out.

+1 I find it amazing as well, little question how much "tracking sens" do you use with the Fender
I had the tracking on full (127 I think) but haven't actually played around with it too much. I lowered it a bit for the T-bass but I can't remember by how much.
My favourite feature on it is the one that reverts back to the original patch settings after I've messed it up!

It looks like I may really need a synth for some club gigs I've got coming up.
To those who now are lucky enough to own one: If I bought an Octavius Squeezer would a Boss OC-2 or OC-3 pedal be completely redundant or useful to have alongside it?

one "problem" I found right know with the OS is you can't use more than one octave (or 5th) in one preset... I really hope they can upgrade that
One way or the other I think I'll have to get an OS.... my significant other is not going to like this
