I just followed the instructions in the manual in page 51 it says how to do a Filter-Fuzz sound I started that way, right now I'm a little busy but tomorrow I can post the parameters I used =D glad you liked!

Had my first rehearsal with the band tonight, my OS versus the guitarist's MicroKorg, and an electronic drum kit. Sounds awesome! Only used the presets at the moment as I haven't managed to create anything new, but I'll be dialing in all of the sounds we are trying to emulate. Daft Punk, Cut Copy etc that sort of sound.
I think it will be perfect for it.
EDIT: I just played with it for a couple more hours after I got home, and I think I'm just beginning to understand the signal path and parameters. Up until now it has actually been a bit frustrating, but I knew I had to persevere. My estimation is that it takes at least 5 hours to become moderately acquainted with it, and probably 10-15 solid hours before you really know what you are doing.
Hopefully I'll be able to just listen to the songs we are trying to play and instinctively be able to setup the effect correctly within a few minutes after I'm a bit more familiar. How is everyone else finding the learning curve?

To get an idea of what the parameters do (sound) and how the correlate with others I modify the presets (I don't save anything) and play while I do it so I notice the changes, also in the manual there's a section on "how to" do certain type of sounds (octaver,synths,filters,fuzz) it's helpful to start there to get an idea of how you can make your own presets.
Okay so I finally got my Octavius Squeezer #38! My first impressions are that its smaller than I imagined and its very orangish-red or reddish-orange?. I dig how the battery compartment is easy to get to, even though I wont be using it. I also recieved my custom cables from Butch on the same day! Christmas in November! Its too bad I got them right before my 12 hour shift at work,actually 13 hr shift.................stupid daylight savings time.
For those who have thier OS, how many premade presets are on yours? I have premade effects from 00 to 29 and 30 to 49 are all blank. I thought all 49 had effects on em. What gives?

There's 30 presets then the rest are just spaces that you can use to add your own effects. You can delete the presets to make space for your own too.
So I got to experiment with the presets finally and all I can say is WOW! This pedal does some crazy ****. Its the first synth Ive ever owned and Im glad I picked it over other synth pedals. It has some very extreme synth tones and the presets do show off alot of the capabilities of the OS. I sat there for two hours just having fun going through the presets. I must have drove my cat nuts.
I found it really wasnt hard to figure out how to navigate through the menu. The screen is very bright and easy to see. The knobs are sensitive though. Ive skipped right on past what I was looking for many a times,still not a big deal. The tuner is on point, as well as the octaver. Its sweet

I do have a couple of questions though. I noticed alot of the effects got stronger the harder I played the strings, can this be tamed so its the same sound no matter how hard I play?
The preset envelope filters sound pretty"wet", can i get them to sound not so wet?
I think the preset fuzz is a little to robust for my tastes, Is it possible to get it to sound thick and full like the supercollider? Does the fact that its a gated fuzz have anything to do with the sound?
Finally,can someone explain the beat-locked effects to me.

Sounds like you're talking about the presets that have the filter set in envelope follower mode. That's exactly an envelope follower does - it sweeps the filter higher the louder you play. If you don't want this to happen, you'll need to experiment with setting the filter to "ADSR" mode instead.
Yes, turn down the "VCF peak" parameter.
Try messing with the "fuzz drv dB" parameter.
I doubt it.
Yes, the beat-locked effects sweep or step the filter in time with the beat in a similar way to the LFO, but with beat-locked effects you get to tap in the tempo. Start the beat using the Tap command on the Rhythm menu and try the "Who's your Daddy?" preset with the beat running. You'll get the idea pretty quickly.
Doesn't "robust" mean "thick and full"? Just trying to figure out what you want here...
To Chunk Systems, Im running a pretty hot active bass (Stingray 4) into the OS. I believe I need to change the "track sens" to adjust the level. Is there a specific setting you found to accomodate hot basses?

By robust I meant bright, very high end in your face. I guess the sound from the supercollider i was listening to sounded fuller and thicker in the low and mids range and mellow in the highs.

It kind of depends how hot it is, but I'd be guessing around 0dB. You want it too high or the tracking system will be overdriven at the start of the note and the tracking with be glitchy as the note starts. You could consider turning up the tracking gain if the tracking goes off as the note dies away.
What i did notice is on some of the effects presets it would do the glitchy thing, mostly on the notes above the 12th fret. I will try your suggestion and turn it down to near 0db. Thanks for the help.

Mine just got here from Australia... the previous owner messed with the presets just enough to bother me. Unfortunately, I can't get the firmware update to work, so I can't get the factory presets. 
Here's what has happened so far:
1. I download the firmware update and stick it on an SD card.
2. I pull the power adaptor from the Squeezer, insert the SD card, and reattach the power adaptor.
3. The squeezer displays "reading card..." for a few seconds, then "Booting" and then it's up and nothing's changed.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there some way I can force it to update the firmware? Because it's recognizing the card but not updating anything (and it's definitely a prior firmware version)...
