I am happy to see the Browns win without Watson. Ugly or not.
I didn't see the Seahawks game because I was diving all weekend. My wife says they had their chances but couldn't close it out.
I saw a couple of games switching back and forth on commercials. My takeaways from the day:
Cleveland’s defense is for real. 9ers lost two key offensive weapons, dropped too many passes, and made too many mistakes to overcome that. The refs basically gave the Browns the chance for the win on the last drive with two terrible penalties, then SF kicker pulled a Norwood at the end. Truthfully, the Browns deserved to win that game, which between the defensive battle and what seemed like an endless string of penalties and mistakes was hard to watch.
Colts just stunk up the joint with turnovers. After a point, I couldn’t watch.
I was laughing with my son that the NFL seemed to have built its whole season around Rodgers going to the Jets and then he’s gone in the first quarter of the first game. We have never gotten so many Jets games here in my entire life. I didn’t watch, but good on them for taking down the Iggles. I think both they and the 9ers needed reminding they are not invincible and it will make them both better teams moving forward.
As for the Bengals, I didn’t see the game but looking at the stats I have no idea how they won. Glad they are 3-3 but without any semblance of a running game whatsoever I don’t see how they can have serious aspirations of matching their success of the past few seasons.

My oldest daughter (age 35) is a Packers fan - got it from me, as I've been one for years.
For some time, we've had our eye on the Broncos-Packers game in Denver this weekend. We held off on tickets because they were pretty pricey, figuring that if one or both teams were bad, the prices might drop.
Well, they did. She scored two tickets on the 100 level in the stadium (corner of the end zone on the scoreboard end) for $170 each. For that level seating, it's a great deal. So we're going to see two bad teams this weekend. We'll drink expensive beer, enjoy the time together, and wear Green Bay Jerseys in the Bronco stadium.
When your kids get to age 34 and 35, being able to spend dad/daughter time like that is not something to be missed!

It’s pretty weird. No, European kids aren’t playing flag even if NFL says they are.
it’s like what they did to lacrosse, made an entirely different version of the sport just to get it into the Olympics. Why not just make regular football or regular lacrosse or regular rules basketball an Olympic event? Why make it different?
Yep, feels like another crafted event designed for the USA to win. Just to make sure, they'll send a buttload of NFL players to play some fake version of football.

Understood, but when it's your shot to go to a pro game with your adult daughter, it's worth it. I have no plans to go to another NFL game; I'll watch at home.
Agreed, it's pretty irrelevant to me where they hold the Super Bowl so . . . London, Tokyo, Rome . . . really makes no difference so long as it's broadcast at a "normal" viewing hour. It's the one championship event of the 4 "major" US pro sports that isn't held at a home venue anyway (at least not by design) AND the ticket/hotel pricing is a gouge-fest so wherever they hold it won't make any difference to my friends and I gathered for our annual viewing party.
