Bengals probably aren't as bad as they looked, but they looked really bad. Won't be able to watch the game tonight because Spectrum dropped Disney and ESPN over a pricing dispute.

Along those lines, it's time to get rid of cable. ESPN was the only real reason I was keeping it, and it's too damned expensive. Besides YouTube TV, what are other options that will get me the local networks plus ESPN and hopefully TNT (for NBA playoff content)?

Well that game was...really something. I hate to see anyone get hurt, so I hope Rodgers is fine. Hard to tell at this point, though.

I am flabbergasted at how badly Josh Allen blew this game. He is prone to boneheaded turnovers, for sure, but four of them???? All he had to do was get 17 points to win and outplay Zach Wilson, but he couldn't do it. Wow.

Listening to Dan Patrick this morning on some errands, he mentioned Josh Allen has more turnovers than any other NFL player, but I failed to get the time frame he wrapped that comment around.
Josh Allen and turnovers are not an uncommon pair. Dan was also saying how Josh Allen is one the reasons the Bills will win a Super Bowl and one of the reasons the Bills will not win a Super Bowl. Quite the conundrum.

He (Josh Allen) now has 84 turnovers since entering the league in 2018, the most during that time frame.

I like Josh Allen, so please don't take this as me trying to pile on the guy or say he's garbage. I spend enough time doing that already with Pittsburgh. I don't have the energy to spread that vitriol up into northern New York.

Chew on this regarding Aaron Rodgers. The contract he signed with the Jets is fully guaranteed. If he never plays again, he'll make $19,000,000 per snap he took for the Jets.

Don’t worry about who I cheer for, I’ll never wish an injury on anyone. Sad to see Rodger go out like that.

For Jets fans, your pass rush is making me uncomfortable. I’ll be there for the ATL road game.

Also, pretty sure but you can fact check me. Zach Wilson is 2-0 against Josh Allen. He didn’t play in the At Buffalo game last fall.

My dad was a big Browns fan and the first pro game I went to was a nertz freezing affair at Lakefront. So I have a little soft spot for them. They have a good fan base too.

I pretended I was Steve Bartkowski when I was a baby in Pop Warner in Atlanta. It’s as hard to root for Falcons as the Browns sometimes.

Being a fan and expecting a result are different things. I’ll be a fan 17-0 or 0-17 but I’ll totally complain when we lose games.

I think Wilson is 2-0 against Allen and the Bills. Go figure.

But seriously I’m ok with the Jets getting the W on September 11. Who wouldn’t be?

And not to go all dark and conspiracy-ey but if my team’s or your team’s receiver bobbled a ball and never controlled it until after he was laying down it would not have stood. Garrett Wilson is amazing and I’ve watched him play since middle school but any other team, any other date, that’s an incomplete pass under review.

Bill Nelson was the Browns' quarterback when I went to my first NFL game as a kid. It was at Lakefront, and was probably in September sometime, since it was fairly pleasant. I was probably 9 years old, since Chip Glass was a rookie. I only remember that because of his name. The game was against Washington, and Frank Ryan was playing for Washington in 1969. He had noticeable white hair, as I recall. I don't remember the stadium as being that big. It wasn't like the vast coliseums that the NFL inhabits now. My dad parked his VW in somebody's yard somewhere close for a dollar or two. I don't remember driving up to Cleveland from east of Columbus where we lived, or driving home at all.

Funny what we remember.

I remember driving our station wagon to a game at Three Rivers back in the 80's, and it was pouring rain in sheets. We stopped alongside the road and picked up a family of Browns fans walking to the stadium. I remember this because my pop made us kids sit in the way back of the wagon facing out the back. I remember them being soaking wet and it got me all wet sitting next to them in the wagon. I clearly remember my pop telling us to be nice and respectful and not to give them any trouble because they were Cleveland fans.
We weren't rich folk or anything, but somehow we had access to a parking lot right next to the stadium. I remember this because when I'd go with other people, we never got to park there. Only when my pop took us or one of my uncles.
We weren't raised to hate the Browns, just be happy when they'd lose and dislike them when we played them. However, that all changed for me when Haslam bought the team and then got worse when they signed Watson. Now I greatly dislike the Browns.
