I didn't watch a lick of the game today, but I completely agree with Tomlin on this quote...
"That sucked, to be blunt," the coach said after Pittsburgh's 29-10 Christmas Day loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. "Not the type of ball we want to play and really kind of eerily similar to our last performance in that we're not doing the fundamental things well enough."
Eerily similar? That's on you bro. You set the tone and expectations. Stop lying to the press and the fans, you don't care what type of ball is being played right now. You're getting paid regardless of what happens on the field and you know there ain't no one in that front office with the courage to do the right thing and fire you.
To your last performance? Try your last performance for the last eight years pal. It's always the same level of suck, every year after win #9. This year, you gave away the NFC North title after being up two games and you haven't showed up prepared for a game since you won #9 in week 13.
You won a Super Bowl using the framework of a team someone else assembled in your second year, got back to the Super Bowl and lost with the last remnants of that great team a couple years later, and haven't had a sniff of the Super Bowl ever since. This despite on multiple occasions having some of the recognized best players in the NFL at their positions.
Tomlin would have been fired years ago by any other team in the NFL. He is completely fortunate the Rooney's tolerate this baloney.
Belichick was let go after two years of no playoffs. Tomlin has twice gone two straight seasons with no playoffs and is sitting on seven one and done playoff appearances. Yeah. Seven.

I find it interesting that talk is starting to surface about the future of Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh in light of the recent losing streak. This has to be coming from Tomlin apologists who believe Wilson is the problem.
Who are the Steelers going to turn to as QB if Wilson is kicked to the curb or if he walks? Fields? There is no other NFL QB on that roster, so they better hope Wilson agrees to return to win nine games for Tomlin in 2025.
Maybe Wilson can head over to Chicago and reunite with Carroll.

I know Atlanta has a 4X pro bowl QB they’d trade pretty cheap.
It looks like Raheem Morris picked up clock management skills from Mike Tomlin. It was terrible before the half, and worse at the end of the game. He blew that last drive and stuck that kicker with a kick he couldn't make, and Atlanta loses. Use your timeouts bro. You can't turn then in for cash after the game.
Daniels though, he is the real deal. He's fun to watch. Penix ain't so bad either.
