It's the Cam Ward show in Tennessee now and he didn't even have to earn it, Levis took the injury route to bow out of the competition.

Come on now Tomlin. You missed signing a key piece for your 2017 Super Bowl run.....

I didn’t hear about Aaron Rodgers bringing in any of his bros yet. It’s not too late to call Randall Cobb.

Quote from an article about Levis' season-ending injury...

[ When asked about how he took the news of his teammate's injury, Ward gave a somewhat ruthless response.

'I didn't really have a reaction. I focus on Cam Ward,' the rookie told reporters. ]

Wow. That's the kind of guy I want leading my team. Couldn't even offer a little sympathetic encouragement. Just me, me, me. :rollno:

That quote is cherry picking to make him look bad. Listen to that whole answer he gave.

Could be...but that was all the article I'd read had included. It didn't offer any more of his response than that.

EDIT: After searching several links, I finally found an article with his entire response. You were right, the first article cherry-picked and didn't provide the full quote:

I'm not surprised. The Daily Mail is shamelessly sensationalist.

Jerry loves drama. He does this kind of thing every year. My bet is, he'll wind up paying him just as he did Lamb, Dak, and many before that.
No need to pay attention to the Cowboys anyway until they finally turn into an actual contender.

Yes he will get paid in the ballpark, or even more than, Garret and TJ. Unlike either of those guys, he has many more good years in the tank.

Actually, I'd rather see Parson go to a contender. Just like Garret and TJ, he's wasting a career with a team that will not get out its own way to make a realistic run at a Super Bowl.

I'm sure it can't happen, but how delicious would it be to see Micah with the Eagles, playing the Cowboys twice a year for the indefinite future? That would be awesome, just like a second Saquon scenario.

The TJ and Garrett comment made me think, I wonder how many guys in the NFL right now are playing to win a Super Bowl. I think that number is low.
Case in point is those two, among many others. Neither Garrett nor TJ have a legit shot yet they signed at the time historic deals to basically wrap up their careers. Yeah I know the adage 'any given Sunday', but the truth of the matter is that neither of them are going to get close to the Super Bowl. Seems to me like the 'play to win' crowd has slowly faded out and replaced by the 'play to get paid' crowd. If they win, great, but that isn't really the point.

It's the NFL, a single player doesn't have much say in how the team's run--other than the top few QBs. It's up to the owners and coaches.
