Lame, pulling out NFC Central jokes... just like the Bears, though, to be stuck 15 years in the past.

You're allowed to get away with that kind of smack talk for awhile longer since your Steelers won it all... but just remember, the AFC North has the potential to be one of the tougher divisions this year, the Bengals looked scary last year (and just what would have happened if Palmer wouldn't have gone down in the Wild Card game?) the Ravens always have potential especially if they get McNair (who has at least two good years in him if he's healthy) and the Browns made a bunch of top notch FA acquisitions as well as putting together a decent draft... it might be awfully tight in the AFC North for the Steelers.
The NFC North has three new head coaches and I think over the next year or two, you'll see much tighter defensive play especially on the Lions and the Pack (while you can expect the Bears to keep bringing the D)... every year, there are about three or four teams that "come out of nowhere," that no one could have expected to do so well. I think there's a lot more parity in this league talentwise than commentators and gurus would lead us to believe. So teams don't really "come out of nowhere," they just stay focused and have a little luck and things fall into place... just something to keep in mind before you attempt to roundhouse kick the Norris division.

The Ravens and Browns make me laugh. Cleveland can sign whoever they want, they aren't going to be any good.

Yeah... even the beginning of training camp would be nice... I've decided to go check out some women's football. The Chicago Force is playing their last game on the 24th so I figure if it's a nice day I'll check it out. This is how bad it's gotten... not that I have anything against women's football, but I'm not crazy about non-NFL football, college even seems too slow to my eyes... oh well, I'd rather see an amateur game live than watch Arena Football on TV.

Yeah, man, that's rough. I hope more people we're start wearing helmets on their bikes now... but most of all, I just hope Big Ben's okay. That said, he's, what, 24 years old? I didn't start wearing my helmet on my bicycle until I was 24 (and I ride through Chicago rush hour traffic). Sometimes it's easy to forget how young some of these guys are (and how stupid we were when we were their ages).

Like anyone really cares. There just is not any star power in the league. No one knows any of the players. I have been trying to go to a game for the past two years but always end up having something to do on the home dates.

I'm no huge Bret Favre fan, but it sure was cool driving through Kiln last week. Those people are nuts about the Packers.
The injury to Roethlisberger has me nervous. I know he'll be able to play, I just wonder how far it will set him back. One of our local sports talk radio hosts was going on and on about how this would end his career. Yeah, he is hurt pretty bad, but it isn't career threatening.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knockin' Arena League (well, not too much anyway)... but I'm just saying that I'd rather see a non-NFL game in person than watch on TV, that goes for high school, too. I find the Arena League stuff too quick to follow for TV cameras, I haven't watched a game in a while so they may have gotten better at that.
