Funny that you should ask....the beard thing is growing in, but for some reason I can't get the stache past peach fuzz. Don't worry Abark I won't let you down.
Though if I can't get the Jake Plummer Pornstauche, then maybe I can get a Jake Plummer, Blue&White, lumberjack/wildman beard.

The wild man beard makes him look like Tom Brady when he had the wild man beard......Gawd! Whats with QBs and wild man beards.......

Ok, I will give you that TB played great and maybe Brunell is a little banged up still. Say Seattle defense plays half as good as TB's. That means the Skins put up 244 yards of offense.

If you think Seattle won't put up 400 yards of offense or more against the Skins you are mistaken. This is destined to be the most lopsided game of the week. Washington is on fumes. There aint nothing left in the tank.

The only way Washington gives up 400 yards to anyone is if their D truly is out of gas. We'll find out tomorrow!

I will repeat what I've said already in this thread. Look at the strength of schedules when analyzing these two teams.

Strength of schedule is important, but it's not everything. Indy had a pretty weak schedule this year, but does that mean that they weren't the best team in the NFL during the regular season? I wouldn't make that argument. The more appropriate barometer is the game that Seattle and Washington actually played against each other, which was a hard fought contest that either team could have won. I would expect a similar game this weekend, but since Seattle is at home, I give them the edge.

I'm also worried about the health of the Redskins, particularly on offense. It's unlikely that the defense is going to be able to create points like it did against Tampa, so it's important that Brunell and Portis play well. If they can do so despite being banged up, it should be a good game.

Your right , that was an ignorant statement, Denver won by 15 points instead of ten.



In all seriousness, I do have respect for the Pats, but why couldn't they hold on to the ball in the second half?

Oh well. All seemed friendly between NE and Denver in the end. I heard Brady say "good luck" to Plummer.

Oh and the commentators finally acknowledged how underrated the Broncos are.

LUCKY!!!

I went to the Seahawks game, and left not all that impressed. I understand that a win is a win, but they just looked sloppy on defense. The Washington offense is not all that great, and that saved Seattle. They tightened up in the red zone, but teams like the Colts and Panthers can score from outside the 20 as easily as inside.

I'm excited and nervous for the Steelers game Sunday morning. I can't wait till kickoff.

Congrats to the 'Hawks! They lost their MVP early and still won. I'm very proud of my team, though. If we add a wide receiver and a pass rusher, we'll probably win the NFC east. The only question mark is Mark (Brunell).

I missed the game due to a gig. Still, we only lost by 10 (dang missed field goal). So far, the 'Skins playoff games have been the best to watch. Lowest margins of victory, anyway.

I think the 'Hawks will go to the Super Bowl.

I think Joe Gibbs should focus on the offense. That is why they lost today. Three turnovers, the other teams leading rusher out of the game, and they could only manage 10 lousy points? The one TD they got was lucky anyway. Portis looks like he isn't all that after all. I thought he was much better than he has been playing recently.

As far as pass rusher, Renaldo Wynn will be back next year for you guys, that will help.

I've been pretty hard on Portis myself before, but I was under the impression that he was pretty beaten up for the Seattle game. Something regarding shoulder problems? - I'm sure the Washington faithful could clear this up. If that's the case, then I'll give him a pass for his poor playoff performance, since he had a fine regular season.

My take on the games are this...

Washington:The 'Skins didn't look bad at all IMO. Mark Brunell played well but man he needs some decent receivers!

Seattle:Sorry Skyrat fans but they really didn't impress me again. Yea, they hung in there after Alexander went down but... meh. If they come up against a team like Denver or Indy they are sunk.

New England:All that needs to be said is...DONE! DONE! and DONE! I knew my Colts weren't going to get the chance to whoop them once they were headed to Denver. They will be back next year I'm sure. They need time to heal physically (and now emotionally) from this season and next year they will be dangerous again.

Denver:They played a pretty good game. Their special teams and D really carried the O most of the game. The O really needs to open it up a little earlier IMO. Will Denver finally get a little respect now? I hope so. Us Indy fans have known they were the #2 team all along! :p

If the teams playing the bears make mistakes like some of the other playoff teams did yesterday, maybe they do have a chance. They have been winning all year off their Defense (#1 in my heart) and the other teams miscues. It only takes 1 or 2 mistakes to lose a game . I guess we will see how they do against Carolina this week and the seahawks next week. It's been a while since 1985 and the white sox and the bears winning in the same year would be too cool. I know I'm dreaming but it is the playoff's, lets drink and be merry.

lol, you could replace "seahawks" with "gators," there.

i saw'em on wednesday, too, and they were slightly less sloppy.

i think i'll watch all the home games i can manage! :hyper:
