Olin wasn't against him one-on-one all night either. In his prime, he'd have no problem with a top NT. But, that was over 3 years ago. He missed some blocks, got pushed on double teams, and got pushed back one-on-one on most plays. If this is just a taste, the Saints will wish they had resigned Goodwin. The Bears had an awful time with short yardage situations last year, and yesterday's game was reminiscient of that. With 2 solid guards, this shouldn't happen.

The last play call was very un Peyton-like. The Packers had everyone in the box - a perfect set up for a bootleg or a pitch, and they ran in up the middle when they didn't have an advantage there all night. IMO, the whole line blew it on that play......

Same thing I was thinking. I totally expected a pitch or quick pass. As soon as Ingram left his feet, I knew he was done. It would have been cool to see the rookie make a big play though.

I'm not arguing Olin is past his prime, but going up against Raji all night is no easy task for most C's in the league. I remember Olin when he played at UW, so I like him.

I agree with you, he was done. There was no-one for him to run behind because they were all on the ground. A fake to the FB, and a pitch would have had him walk in the end-zone.


In the 4th Q, Peyton made 2 costly calls by not taking the field goal which would have let them win with a last minute TD, and the HB dive on the last play.

Yeah, that was awful. They didn't even look like they were in the same LEAGUE as the Ravens. Steelers D got very little pressure on Flacco the entire game. Conversely, the Ravens D was in Ben's face all day. Another game like that one and my Steelers might be picking up an entry form for the "Andrew Luck Lottery".

Not that it was all Ben's fault. He didn't have very much time. And after Mendenhall coughed up that fumble, the Ravens were going after the ball every time he touched it.

James Harrison looked like an 8th grader playing against a senior playing against McKinnie. The Ravens were by far the better team today. Hopefully, the Steelers will use this thumping as motivation and get their act together...

Wahoo...ain't nothing like a good old fashioned butt kicking, even if it was against the team I like. I didn't watch the game, just checked the score at ESPN.com. Congratulations to Joe Flacco for finally beating the Steelers with Ben playing QB.

It's sunny and in the upper 80's here today, so back outside I go. I can't see how anyone would spend a day like today stuck on the couch inside watching football.
