Don't you believe that for one second. Last year they nearly always covered the spread or flat out su-pirzed some teams. Should Stafford remain upright they will be hard to handle.
I'd like to see the Ravens do well this year, and as Flacco has added some muscle in the core, some 15 pounds worth, it might help. Gonna need it in that division. Truth to tell I just can't stand the thought of the Feelers having any success. Close proximity to little yellow towels gives me a rash at the 3 foot level.
Sounds like an entertainment extravaganza for tomorrow's NFL opener. Too bad. I don't go in for all that hoopla and what I call "glitter, glammer, bullsh*t". Can't they just play ball?

Need to place my pick tomorrow by afternoon. NO vs. GB - should be a good one if both teams are ready to play.

I agree. Whoever wins will be anointed the front runner for the SB, which is silly after one week.

The Jaguars seem like some screw ups. Five hours before Garrard was released, there was a luncheon in the Jacksonville area to promote the team, and Garrard was introduced as the teams starting QB. What happened in those five hours?

Garrard was asked to toss a few rolls to his WR during the luncheon and the DB intercepted them ... his fate was sealed.

They wanted him to take a pay cut and he didn't, so they released him to get out of paying his full salary (or so it was explained to me). This was a completely classless move even if it had nothing to do with money.
Looks like McCown is starting week 1, which baffles me even more.

Ok, let the rumor mill begin. Word on the street is Manning had another neck procedure and he is going to be for the season.
Mike and Mike brought up an interesting point this morning, "If Manning has to sit out 6-8 weeks, why rush back?. He'll already miss the majority of the season and the writing will be on the wall. It might better serve him and his future with the team to sit out a year and come back 100%."

It's anyone's game. Pack is weak upfront on the D-line. If I were Payton I'd try and figure out how to exploit that. Maybe quicker passes to backs coming out of the backfield or screens.
I really like watching Donald Driver play football. Early on, it was a thing of beauty watching an offense in sync like GB was. NOLA may score 51 again tonight, but it may not be enough on this night.
