A few thoughts on the Steelers/Ravens game. As others have said, Ben really came through on the final drive after a so-so performance prior to that. Even some of his completions earlier in the game were a little bit off. Completions, but several behind the receivers who did a good job of catching them. But had it been in the right spot, it would've gone for bigger plays.
Not sure what I think of Ross Cockrell. He'll look good at times, but he sure has given up a lot of receptions. Receiver Eli Rogers continues to impress. Those backup receivers have really done a good job stepping in for the missing starters.
When the Ravens were driving (on the the drive prior to Ben's game-winning drive), I was really afraid that the Steelers wouldn't have enough time on the clock to get back down the field. I told my daughter that the Steelers defense might want to "let" the Ravens score so they'd (the Steelers) have time for a final drive. I was glad when the Ravens fullback busted through and scored when he did, because had they taken more time off the clock, the Steelers probably could not have scored. I don't think they "allowed" the Ravens to score; but it was fortunate that they did.
Great work by all though on the Steelers game-winning drive. They definitely looked like they were on a mission and would not be denied. Great presence of mind for Brown to realize that he needed to stretch that ball across the goal line!
Not sure how many good years Ben has left in him, but he's usually pretty clutch when he needs to be.
