amazing what talent and an unimaginable amount of prep can bring to your game

His appearance tonight is very reminiscent of a rookie Brady stepping in when Drew Bledsoe went down. What a season that was, and turned a franchise from being on par with Tampa into the powerhouse it is today

That was impressive.

Brissett's 11 for 19 and 103 yards in the air may not sound like much, but the 27 yard carry to the house (the longest franchise QB run for a TD since 1976...are you kidding me?) and no turnovers makes it a solid performance by any standard.

And the defense shut out a pretty good Texans offense.

I for one was not surprised at all how well Brissett played. Although he did play better in the first half. He looked a little shaky in the second half.
That's OK though. The Patriots defense played stronger and stronger as the game went on, no doubt inspired to hold on to that shutout and carry the rookie to victory.

Brissett probably just came out of the shock of the first half, realized where he was, and then got the butterflies. Or, more likely, the Texans staff saw some things on the tape and made their adjustments.

That's not any kind of nod to the hoodie, it's what any smart player would do having to audition for work elsewhere.
