Lotta secrets regarding the severity of Roethlisberger's throwing shoulder. I think how effective he is will be key here. His O line hasn't been stellar, and he's been playing safe. If they can improve protection, and if he begins to air it out some more I can see Pittsburgh taking this one.Pittsburgh at Philadelphia - This will be a very good game. Philly looks very good, (although they do tend to play Dallas very well). Pittsburgh has looked good, particularly on defense. I can see Pittsburgh's defense playing well enough to control Westbrook, (in as much as a player that great can ever be controlled). I think that this game could go either way. McNabb is playing very well. I'm going to say Pittsburgh right now, because of their linebacker play and ability to get pressure on McNabb. Will Philly be deflated after last week or pumped?

Niiiiiiice! As a consolation, Rex Grossman has won more playoff games than Tony Romo.
If not, as much as it pains me to say, I've gotta stick with the Eagles.
I'll accept your ringing endorsement of the Skins' chances!Arizona at Washington - Pick 'em. No clue. Washington found some semblance of an offense last week, and their defense ain't that bad. They'll need to be able to run the ball, which a team can do a bit of against Arizona. Now, Arizona has a very nice passing attack. I'd like to know more about Zorn's offensive system and see Arizona play a little to be more educated about this. My guess right now is that Arizona can pull it out, but boy am I not so confident about that.
15-15 overall. Not so good.

Kansas City at Atlanta - Kansas City with the third string QB getting his first start, after being beat last week by a QB that completed something like 6 passes. But here's how Oakland won. They ran the ball. Very well. So, I can see Atlanta doing the same and getting the win.
Oakland at Buffalo - I like Buffalo right now. They're not great, but Trent Edwards is playing very safe, controlled football, and that should serve them well. Oakland can definitely run the ball, so look for Buffalo to put 8 in the box and dare Russell to beat them, which he can't yet do. Buffalo should win this game at home, and send Lane Kiffin packing. Al Davis is an idiot.
Tampa Bay at Chicago - Two strong defenses. It's funny how those games can somehow turn into higher scoring games than we would initially think. TB's strength is in their secondary, which is fine, because Chicago isn't all that strong in the pass game anyway. They are, however, running the bal decently and have remained patient with it. I like Chicago in this game, but not by much, say 17-14. Hester could be the difference, (in field position sense predominantly).
Carolina at Minnesota - So Jackson is on a timeout for a little while to think about what he did. I think Ferrote is a decent QB, but now I'm hearing something about Peterson being a little bit hobbled. No matter. Carolina is playing pretty well. Steve Smith will be back, but he is just getting his feet wet again, so while he is always capable of a big game, a handful of catches, (3 or 4), may be more realistic. Still, Carolina has the juice and confidence to win, while Minnesota regroups. They'll need to figure things out quickly though, because an 0-3 start, with the NFC looking good in general, most certainly means no Super Bowl.
Miami at New England -NE's defense is still playing well, and Miami still looks bad. New England will win. This will force people to talk about how they haven't lost a step w/o Brady, completely ignoring the fact that they've played KC and Miami, and a Jets team that couldn't get out of its own way. (See Jets review later).
Cincinnati at NY Giants - The Giants continue their preseason schedule against Cincy this week. NY will win this game because NY is playing very well right now, and because Cincy sucks. A lot. Very much.
Houston at Tennessee - Tennessee has two things going for them right now. A very good defense and a very good running game. Those two things, against Houston, means that Tennessee will win. Houston has nothing going for it right now, and their minds are probably still a bit on Ike. Very unfortunate.
Arizona at Washington - Pick 'em.
New Orleans at Denver - This will be a very good game. I hope it's televised where I live. New Orleans offense has been okay so far. Their defense has been only okay also. Denver's offense has been ridiculously good, and their defense not very good. I think that Denver's offense should do very well, and they'll win this game at home. Will it be 38-28?
Detroit at San Francisco - Detroit sucks. San Francisco sucks a little less. San Francisco should win.
St. Louis at Seattle - St. Louis sucks. Seattle sucks a little less. Seattle should win. (Do note, that these predictions would put Arizona in first place in the division, followed by SF, then Seattle, then St. Louis. Pathetic).
Cleveland at Baltimore - It's the Browns versus the Browns! Which Browns team will win? Well, who knows really. We only saw Baltimore in week 1. We now that Cleveland can't find an offense right now. I'm going to say that Baltimore, with two weeks to prepare and learn about how to beat Cleveland, should win.
Jacksonville at Indianapolis - Indianapolis is really hurting. Jacksonville is too. Lots of hobbled players. With Sanders out, I can see Jax trying to get its running game going. Indy found a way to win last week, and that was impressive. I'm not excited about Harrison's play right now. He isn't the same player, and it's changing the way that Indy can play. I think Jacksonvile can pull this out.
Pittsburgh at Philadelphia - This will be a very good game.
Dallas at Green Bay - The pundits say that because Rodgers played well against Dallas last year and it was in Dallas, that GB should win this game. The Dallas talk is interesting. Many think them the best team in football and criticize every flaw as if they're no good. Others criticize every flaw and say that they're not that good. What I think is that Dallas' offense is particularly strong, perhap the best in the league. Owens, Witten, Barber, and F. Jones, all led by Romo, are amazing. GB will try and shut down Owens and Witten, which leaves Barber to have a solid game. I think Crayton could do well this game also. (Of course, Owens played exceptionally well against GB last year). Rodgers plays a very disciplined game. He'll be able to find spots underneath as Dallas protects against the big gain. ALthough Rodgers will still try and take some deep shots. I think that the Dallas offensive line and their pass rush against GB will win this game for them.
NY Jets at San Diego - The Jets are a bit of a tease. After the first week we thought that they might be decent. Now, it seems that they're really lacking some important pieces. Seeing GB play now, we know that that is a good team, and that Favre's contribution to that team last year might have been exaggerated. San Diego will get a big confidence boost winning this game.
Dallas 35
Green Bay 17
I do have concern about the Dallas Secondary. The corner formally known as Pacman is still a little rusty, but his play is improving. Newman did play in the Nickel and Dime last week, but I am not sure if he can go man to man the whole game. Roy Williams being out will really hurt, but Watkins is a big guy and at 6'-5" can defend the pass really well and we will see how he handles the run.
As for the D-line, Rogers is not McNabb, McNabb is like a fullback that can throw the ball. I forgot how good he is when he is healty. Rogers will not be able to escape the rush play after play.
The Cowboys O-line is big and strong and will push the GB line and wear them down. I know we are without a fullback due to Anderson being hurt, but we have tight ends that can block to take up the slack. I think both Marion Barber and Felix Jones have the potential to break 100 yards. Felix Jones is going to be a Pro-Bowl back.
My concern is Romo, and I have to agree with Gard on this. He thinks his arm can get him out of trouble (he is no Favre) and he will try to force a ball that becomes an interception. When was the last game he played that he did not throw one? He seems to fumble in key moments as well. When Jerry gave him that huge contract I was blown away, that was a lot of money for someone who hasn't really proven himself.
I was watching one of the ESPN channels and they were talking about Jerry Jones, doing things to keep Dallas in the media, like hiring contraversial players, so Gard this is for you, I know you hate when people call Dallas "America's Team", so I give you permission to call them "America's Chain Gang", lol.
.....maybe we should acknowledge that perhaps they've done something by helping keep people in line.
Maybe. We'll see. The Cowboys have a history of players who know how to party.
