NFL Week 4

I was surprised by the Cincy game, for many reasons. The undersized DBs of NE held the dominant WRs of Cincy at bay, cept for Housh. The NE run D was suspect, but they did a good job against Rudi. I think Brady finally has a target he trusts in Gabriel, and that was a difference maker. Still, I'm surprised by the blowout.


Miami losing wasn't as much of a surprise. They'll be calling for Harrington soon. Kubiak has improved the team a little, but their D is porous. Culpepper couldn't lead a drive for most of the game. I think C-Pep has a lot to do with their failures. He has weapons in Brown, Chambers, Booker, and McMichael. The line isn't that strong, but C-Pep is supposed to be mobile, right? The same team that missed winning the div by one game, is looking worse with the "improvement" at QB.

The only Miami game I have seen in its entirety was the opening game against Pittsburgh. In that game, Culpepper appeared to have some lingering side effects from his injury. I don't think he's "back" like he needs to be. I was under the impression that the Miami defense would be much better than they have been so far. Must be tough on Thomas and Taylor.

As far as the Patriots, I think it was a pride issue for them as well. It's clear they are no longer the dominant AFC team, but they won't go down without a fight.

Who is ready to see Denver put a mud hole in Baltimore's respactable asses? I am !!!!!

No really , that is gonna be nail biter for sure, the Ravens scare me!:D

I'm bummed about Cincy's loss, they're my #2 team.

And the Jets!!! so close....... oh well, more glory for the Broncos when they beat Indy!:D

I would think that it is because teams in the same division get to play each other twice. So until later on in the season, most teams have only played each other once or no times. The head-to-head would not be an accurate way of determining a team's standing. And this early in the season, you cannot predict which two teams will have the same win-loss records, if any.

Just about anything would've been an improvement from Capers tenure here in Houston, included an untrained monkey.



That said, we're gonna win maybe one or two more games max. Hey, at least I can look forward to next year's draft :eyebrow:

Brutal :scowl: We just don't have the experience to overcome too many of our own mistakes (perfect counterpoint being the Iggles last night). I can't believe Driver dropped that TD and two other catchable tosses, he's normally got hands of glue... wow, the secondary was spotty, too. I'm glad Collins had a much better game, but Carroll is a liability on the field. I just hope we bring our A-game next week to the Rams because I still see some good things in where the team is going (the pass pro and run blocking was much better tonight and KGB and Kampman were getting off the edge real quick).

(WARNING: This is just some good natured smack-talking, it is not serious, no one is to be offended!!! :spit: )

I did not see you in here talkin' smack to me after your turkeys got beat down like an ugly redheaded stepchild in the Superdome on national TV, did I? :confused: No, not a word.

Now, they go out to AZ and get win against a team that has NOTHING going for it, you get all uppity and come here telling everyone how they're the #1 team in the NFC South.

Anyone that understands anything about the game knows that if you get your @$$ handed to you (23-3 is getting your @$$ handed to you, by the way), your team is NOT ahead of the team that did the handing, unless your RECORD is BETTER. The turkeys have the same record as the Saints at this point, therefore, the Saints are the better team.

I may not agree with all of Ted Thompson's personnel decisions, but he has nads! Ahmad Carrol was released today. Evidently the Packer brass was tired of their 2004 First round pick hurting the team with stupid penalties, poor coverage, and being an all around locker room baby.

I think Thompson must have been reading TB lately.

If that's the case, Poppinga should be very worried.
