NFL Week #7

My turn.

Man, It's been a long time since I've seen a team shoot itself in the foot in so many ways like the San Diego Chargers. Fumbles, dropped passes, penalties, mental mistakes, it was unbelievable! They've got talent, unquestionably, and they proved it in the fourth quarter, closing to within 3 of the Pats. But it came down to this: a 46-yard field goal attempt with 20 seconds left to tie the game. But wouldn't you know it, they shoot themselves in the foot one last time, with a false start penalty, making it a 51-yard FG. Their kicker nails it wide, then the ball hooks in and hits the post! Unbelievable! 23-20, Pats.

The Patriots didn't exactly clothe themselves in glory either, but a W is a W is a W. :)

Indeed...I suspect when the numbers come out on Tuesday the Chargers will remain the #1 offense and defense units in the NFL...to go along with their 2-5 record. Last year was easier to stomach when they had a top 5 offense and a bottom 16 defense, but they were playoff bound :(

That Green Bay game was a travesty. The Non-catch that was a touchdown and the Shiancoe touchdown that was overturned. Did ANYONE see any irrefutable video evidence that he didn't have possession when he hit the ground?

The replay official did, and only his opinion counts. And I didn't. I was surprised it got overturned.

Turns out not going for it just before the half may have cost them. I blame the entirety of the loss on Mr. Head Coach. He didn't challenge when he had the chance and didn't try to score when they had the chance.

Losing Aaron Smith for the season takes all the joy of grinding out the win in Miami. We all have one of these guys on our team.....underrated and relative unknown in the league, but vital to the teams system on either side of the ball. Great teammate on the field and in the locker room. We lost ours today for the season. :(

A win is a win. I don't ever think I've seen 3 touchdowns taken away, 2 clearly so, one which probably should have stood. Pack needs to get out of this taking-the-game-down-to-the-last-second BS. They've proven they can't win those. Got lucky tonight. Game balls to the 3rd stingers playing the entire game on the defensive line, the rookie linebacker, and the 3rd stringer at safety.
