NHL 2013 post season thread!

It wasn't legal imo. After seeing that replay it was definitely charging. Also, two years ago wasn't there a rule added saying if you come on a player's blind-side you shall not hit at 100%?

Anyways, the league and refs seem to have forgotten what charging is, not just in this case but overall, it's never called.

...then the Subban hit on Neil in the 1st period should have been penalized too.

It was, but I can't shake the Igloo name.

Too bad Consol didn't do what TD Bank did when it took over the naming rights for the new Boston Garden - Fleet Bank called it the FleetCenter :spit:. When Bank of America took over Fleet and dropped the naming rights. Toronto Dominion Bank took over and named it the TD Garden. Since people still called it the Garden or the New Garden even when it was officially the FleetCenter (which was also the name of their two office buildings in Providence and Boston), the change back to something with "Garden" in it was greatly appreciated here. Canadians are not only excellent hockey players but they are pretty savvy bankers as well.

The igloo was torn down, but Consol (one of the nicest sports arenas in all of America) was not paid for by tax payers.

Yeah, just looked that up. Paid for with casino money. What a snafu that was. Almost did wind up taxpayer money after all until the PA Gaming Board awarded the bankrupt casinos to Neil Bluhm. Lemeiux was trying to get funding from the state for the aena at one point.

Here's more than you ever want to know about the Console Energy Center (73 reference works):

Ziltoid... watch the video and pay attention.

There is no charging there at all. And the damage to Eller came from faceplanting on the ice after getting knocked the **** out. :D Keep your head up, kids.
Subban should be talked to about leaving his feet.
Brown should get a bunch of games for that crap.
And, there are a bunch of refs from last night that should be talked to as well.

Did anyone see the slip by Savannah Collins? She went to say that the "Blackhawks have had a tremendous amount of success" but said sex instead. Then, unbelievably IMO, CSN fired her.

The “circumstances unrelated” referred to in the statement appear to be videos on YouTube Collins did as a co-host of Sport Nutz, a 16-part series with a lowbrow take on sports news. Collins’ Tuesday gaffe purportedly brought new attention to those videos, which became the impetus for her dismissal.
