That's funny. And people thought Gretzky & mctavish were old.

Too bad kariya is out of the game. Kariya/selanne was a great duo.

When Gretzky retired, he had 62 points in 70 games!
When Mike Bossy retired, he had 75 points in 63 games!
When Mario Lemieux retired, he had 22 points in 26 games!
When Gordie Howe retired, he had 41 points in 80 games! Not bad for the oldest player ever.

Only 2 seasons ago, Selanne was a player exceeded point-per-game status and he's having a so-so season at 20 points in 30 games. Still very very good for today's NHL!

Hopefully, his statement makes more sense than Kovalev who said a few years ago that he feels so in shape that he could easily play until he's 50! Yeah, right... He just retired a few days ago.

Wow! Just watched the Sabres game and they got away with a 2-1 victory in spite of having only half the shots and being dominated the whole game.

Glad Vanek got the two goals. He had been slipping in the last while. Had 23 points in the first half of the games and only 8 in the last half.

I liked what I saw of Hodgson. Playing on the 3rd line in Vancouver surely polished his defensive game. Always does percentage plays and is solid on his positioning.

That was pretty much the story with the B's game except the B's outshot the Leafs 33-13 and the final was 3-2 with a 6 on 5 at the end to make it close. The recent deal with the B's has been plenty of scoring chances but not a lot of scoring touch. They need a top six, ideally or at least a top nine, forward with some scoring ability, now.

This was the first game I remember this year that Claude made a goalie change - Rask played the third. Khudobin had only given up two, the second was a bit soft but he wasn't playing particularly poorly - it was as much to shake up the team as a whole. It sort of worked as the B's played better in the 3rd, but it was too little, too late.

Other than Seidenberg and Ference scoring their second goals of the season, and the focused offensive push in the 3rd - not much positive to take away.

B's have Toronto at home on Monday and Montreal on the second game of a back to back (after Pittsburg no less, thank you schedule maker!). I'd like to see 60 minutes of what the B's where doing in the 3rd period last night in both games.

Wednesday night is a nationally televised in the US - should make for an interesting viewing.

Hey look.....the Flyers are playing a game again finally. This one has trap game written all over it for the Penguins. Hard to go against a team on an 11 game winning streak, but I'm thinking the Flyers find a way to pull this one out. I think the Flyers are better than they have been playing.

It'll be an exciting game to watch, that's for sure.

I got to catch a game last night, and we explode with offense in the first. I've got to find a way to catch a few more games this year, because we're 2-0 and outscoring opponents 8-2 in games I've made it to.

We shall see! Not sure how long Pens can keep the winning streak going without Malkin or Letang, but aside from 1 or 2 poor periods, they have been playing great defense and have really learned to protect a lead. Add contributions to scoring from the 3rd and 4th line and they're a pretty dangerous team all around.

Bryzgalov is putting together a really nice game, and the Flyers forecheck is forcing the Pens into turnovers. No real offensive flow from the Pens so far because of it. Impressive.

I'd like to see the Pens win, but if the Flyers play the final 20 like the previous 40, they deserve it.
