NHL 2013 regular season thread!

Love it - this could be done for every team. The high glass could be named - our talk radio guys would nominate Rich Peverly. You could go a circle about the size of the Lucic-Miller crossing (or maybe bigger) for the sweep of Chara's stick.
Bolts trade Cory Conacher and a draft pick for Ben Bishop. 
On the one hand, we need a goalie, but they did it for Marty Jr., which makes me sad. He was my second favorite young kid on the team next to Hedman.

Man, Pens looked pretty ugly last night. No Crosby, Martin or Letang and a bunch of new players. Here's hoping we shake out the new wrinkles soon. After winning 15 in a row, people might start to panic about losing back to back 
Lupul sandwich tonight in the Flyers/Leafs game. Hasn't been back since. Game's been a bit rough ever since. Refs have kept the game in control so far though.
Wow, Winnipeg is in free fall and the Caps jump from 10th to 3rd in the East with a SO win. That's making some hay.

He scored the only goal for the B's last night. A pass from Marchant bounced off a perfectly angled skate right through the pads along the ice. I liked his quote afterward - something to the effect of I wouldn't have liked that goal as a 25 year old, but I do as a 41 year old. He slotted into Bergeron's spot who is out with a concussion. When Bergeron comes back Jagr is likely to play on the third line and the power play. Jagr was out for the full 2 minutes of the only power play the B's had, they didn't score but they certainly were moving the puck better and had a few decent chances - Jagr will certainly help there.
Hearing through the grapevine that Crosby has a concussion from that hit to the jaw that broke his jaw. Any Pittsburgh people hearing this?

Would be silly to think he sustained any kind of brain injury anyways. He got hit right in the teeth with the puck. People forget that his second "concussion" was actually a mistreated neck nerve injury, and that he's not some china doll that's going to break if he's hit too hard.
They gave him a titanium jaw and didn't have to wire it shut. I fully expect to see him back for the playoffs if not earlier. Hope he can still win the Hart.

You can't be serious with this. This is exactly the type of injury which could cause a concussion.
That was my thought, especially since that puck clocked him on the side of the jaw like it did. That's what's causing the rumors.
