Kesler traded to Anaheim for Bonino, Sbisa, and a 24th overall pick in today's draft.
I'm glad he's gone; he has no heart to play in Vancouver anymore and Benning had no choice. Some of the people on my newsfeed blame him for abandoning Vancouver but CLEARLY, he doesn't want to be here. What can you do with someone who's heart is elsewhere?

Where it actually matters. Season points don't really matter as much as the playoffs; clearly Gabi proved that true.
if you look at top 200 scorers 2013 regular season there are very few Kings. postseason stats--excellent--a different story.
Mostly filled with Kings except the goaltending area. Understandable since Quick had a rough start to the playoff run but he definitely woke up and started playing like he always does
They are definitely built more for the playoffs than the regular season. That was evident in the Cup run of 12 and this year as well.
Hopefully Gaborik can stay healthy. With the very underrated Kopitar as his Center, he just needs to stay healthy and he'll put up big numbers. He clearly loves playing in LA. The thought was, he wouldn't play D but he's played very good D since arriving and has bought in to Sutter's system. Reading his interview somewhere about how he loves living in LA, loves this group of guys, add in winning and it was kind of a no brainer to resign for less money. LA's locker room doesn't really allow guys to come in and be too distant. They immediately try to bond with new players. Which explains why the Carter and Richards trade looked so good almost immediately. Now the Gaborik trade looks the same.
You mean Richards? Richardson is in Vancouver and yes, I would love to live in LA and play for their hockey team too. 45 year history with one helluva loyal fanbase and two Cups to finally reward their everlasting patience...
I wished I lived in California, as my Hockey club is the Kings, my football team is the 49ers and I pull for the SF Giants. The good news is, one of my siblings lives in LA. For awhile there, when I would make my annual trip to visit her, I always planned it during hockey season. So I got to see several games. And I lived in Dallas up until last year, so for awhile there, I could catch them when they came to town. I didn't get to see any games live this season though.
Well...you know..... When you play more games than anyone else that kinda happens.
I think Vancouver won this trade. It will only be good for Anaheim if Kesler can stay healthy. But with the Kings core not really changing for a few years, adding a good, defensive 2nd line center who can score is a good addition. They needed to keep up.
Tired of the booing of Gary Bettman. Sure, he's a d-bag, but the booing has got to stop.
I agree kesler can be taken out of a game anyway if he wants to go let him go
James Neal is off to Nashville in a trade. As a Pens fan, I can't say I'm all that disappointed. If he spent more energy and focus on scoring goals, I'd probably be sad.
