NHL Playoff Race!

Go Av's. I am looking forward to an Av's/ Red Wings series again. It is so much fun to watch these two teams play each other. Kind of like watching the All Star game with checking.


Oh yeah, where is that Turco fan? Dallas just did not have it this year.

Those eastern teams are going to be tired when it comes to the finals. They beat each other up so bad each game, I am surprised anyone can play night after night.

Oh man, three game 7s involving 5 canadian teams in the next 30 hours or so... My butt is getting numb just thinking about it! :D

That OT matchup between the Sens and Leafs last night was one of the most stressful things I've ever endured. If the first overtime hadn't ended when it did I think I would've had some sort of heart attack. This city is going go nuts if we actually beat the buds, it's been mostly restrained jubilation so far... Alfie has made good on all his guarantees so far. Luckily, the Leafs fans around here have finally shut up for at least a day.

Calgary - Vancouver the other night was one hell of a game too, I was at the pub so details are getting a bit fuzzy for the end of it (around 2:30am our time), but it had me on the edge of my seat for sure.

cmon 13secs left in 3rd... puck behind your net... you score with 5secs togo... only to loose in OT

O well... how about then sharks... now sharks will blow avalench away and on to stanly we go.... sharks rule you... no one knows it yet...

A fitting ending for sure... wow.

A couple 'iffy' penalty calls there at the end that I'm sure Don Cherry will be all over tomorrow night for Coach's Corner.

'Nucks fans, I feel for you. To be completely down, then tie it up like that, then lose everything again... ouch. :bawl: I guess something like how Leafs fans everywhere will be feeling tomorrow when the mighty Ottawa Senators bowl them over in game 7 after being down 3-2. :D

Keep dreaming. The Avalanche will beat the Sharks once again , like they always do in the playoffs. The Sharks are good, but they are not meant to be go to the finals. :D

Av's better beat the sharks and Detroit better beat calgary so we get an Avalance/ Detroit series again, which is always good hocky. In fact it may and well be the only thing interesting in the game today. NHL is going downhill fast. Not even a 50 goal scorer this year?? Never thought i'd see the day, that's pretty bad.

on another note.....

Is anyone glad to see some REAL teams in the playoffs this year? I'm so sick of these expansion gimmick teams such as Nashville, Anhiem, Carolina, Panthers, ect... These teams make the game SO BORING with the style they often play. We also need to get Tampa Bay out of the race, there the only team that bothers me....becasue Hockey is a winter sport, dosn't belong in tropical Florida, just dosn't seem right.

Dream finals for me would definitly be Detroit vs. Toronto or Montreal. Original 6 baby!

avalanche will get spanked like little school girls who've been very naughty, thats right, i went there

Here is my problem with avalanche... they got offensive tallent... but no D... they got s8 loud of great all start players but they are all offensive... i dont think it works, especially because sharks got decent offense and great D... look for high scoring games i geuss... except if nabby is going to be himself:]

Carolina = Hartford which was one of the old WHL teams absorbed by the NHL.
So, how do you feel about Edmonton?

Woah, I guess you must not get to see any Canadian teams play in Detroit. There has been some amazing hockey in the first round, particularly involving the Canadian teams. I agree that Colorado/Detroit is a great matchup and sure would be a lot more interesting than SJ/Calgary, but there have already been some great matchups are there are still other potential playoffs series' that could be just as good. Imagine an Eastern conference final between Toronto and Montreal :eek: .

I liked Hartford though, they had cool uniforms, i was sad to see them move to a place like Carolina and then given a stupid name and a stupid uniform. I just don't like hockey teams that play too south on the east coast. It just seems out of place.

It was also sad when the North Stars moved to Dallas, Winnipeg to Pheonix, Quebec to Colorado. I like Edmonton because Theres needs be more hockey teams in Canada.
