6-0 Leafs, for their 6th win in a row, on a tribute to the Original 6 night in Montreal. It don’t get no better’n dat!
Oh yeah, plus second shutout in a row, and Matthews with 2 goals in his return.
Babcock shuffles the lines after a slow start

Moore-Bozak-JVR
Komarov-Kadri-Nylander
Brown-Marleau-Hyman
Ummm.... there is no 4th line there. How do you defend against that? All 4 lines are scoring threats, and 3 of those lines can play solid defensively, (Bozak and JVR suck defensively, at least Moore is solid)
I’m hoping Babs sticks with those lines, or at least rotates them in like tonight when they need to change things up, great option on the road when the home teams get last change... Start with your standard lineup, then just flip flop the lines up halfway through if you’re not having success. Me likey.

The old man is a beast, 8 goals, 6 assists in 21 games, ridiculously good on the forecheck, responsible defensively, he was a way better pickup than I hoped when they signed him. And he’s not really 4th line, been playing 2nd/3rd line mostly. And when Matthews was out, moved to center, and was winning like 60% of faceoffs.
But first and foremost, he’s showing the kids how real men play.
I agree.
I've been a fan of Marleau since he played for the Seattle Thunderbirds.
I remember him well as he led the T-birds to their first ever western conference championship.

I liked the lines last night too. But, not to get too excited, it was only Montreal. But really, all 4 lines could be considered a first or second line.
Not to hear Jeremy Roenick tell it. Roenick trashed Marleau in his book, and included him in his list of "5 Players I Hated" (or something similar to that). But who knows? I don't know either one of them...
I'm going to stick with what I know about Marleau. Granted, Roenick is closer to him that I ever was though.
I can't recall hearing/seeing/reading Marleau's name in police reports or other reports about him engaging in socially unacceptable behavior.
Roenick? Some low level headlines, but most of all he was a Flyer. That there makes him a bad guy in my book.
Edit....I did some research into the book and what Roenick said about Marleau.
Roenick went to Marleau's house when they were SJ teammates to encourage and inspire Marleau's play. Apparently Marleau did not respond as Roenick had hoped, thus contributing to the sour relationship.
I realize book headlines are sometimes attention grabbers, but the headline of Roenick's book says enough about who he thinks he is, then when you pair it with this uninvited home visit on Marleau.
