NHL Regular Season 2017-18

Make room for me on the Flames bandwagon. I'm sitting up front.
Calgary signed Jagr today. Jagr said he is 99.9% certain this is his last season in the NHL.
The Flames visit Vancouver next weekend, so I may try and make the drive up to see the game.
The Flames are also in CA the end of December, which is close to our anniversary. Perhaps I can talk my wife into a trip to CA for our anniversary. She likes hockey, so there is a chance.

Fitting that Jagr ends his career, the oldest player in the NHL, playing against the youngest franchise in the NHL.

Pretty good start. Looked a bit rough at first, but Andersen held the fort until they got going. But what's up with giving Komarov a penalty for having his visor too high, when he is not even required to wear a visor?

Chicago with the TD and FG to beat Pittsburgh.
Two games in, Murray has given up 10 goals. I've never been sold on Murray long term for the Pens. I know, hard to argue with a guy who has two SC's, but come on already. Everyone and their momma knows you can go high on Murray.
It's going to be a long season in Pittsburgh. You can't let that many quality guys (Kunitz/Cullen/Fleury) walk away and expect to be any good.

Gawd! They way the Pens 'D' is playing...instead of three-peating they may be contending for the draft lottery! Never expected much from Niemi but Murray looks like he forgot how to play hockey over the summer. Was giving up juicy rebound galore in the Blues game, and couldn't quite figure out anything against the 'Hawks either.

Yeah, it's early, but still. I still feel they'll turn it around but D coach Jacques Martin has his work cut out for him.

James Neal and Fleury leading the way in Las Vegas, including a sweet OT winner in Glendale for Neal.

I see the Pens finally got their act together, fittingly against Nashville. That's three straight games in a row Murray has shut out the Preds.

Pens are off until Wednesday where Ovechkin and national TV are waiting.

Way cool to see the real Jagr crash the Travelling Jagr's interview.

Flyers have a tough schedule to open the season. Four straight road games, including 3 on the West coast. At San Jose (win); at L.A. (loss); at Anaheim (win); and at Nashville this Tuesday.

Nobody is expecting much from them this year; but I will say, some of these youngsters can motor. Hextall's youth movement should eventually pay dividends...
