NHL Regular Season 2017-18

You mean Canadian Tire Centre, right? :) About half the population in this area lives within 15 miles of the arena, the other half live within 15 to 25 miles away. And with our one crappy freeway here, it can take up to an hour to travel those 15 miles on a game night.

Point taken.
And I can never keep up with the arena name changes. Heck, I had to look up what the Coyotes are calling their arena this year!

Too bad the NHL didn't think this through enough to have them playing tonight.

Well, though I agree, cuz I have a day job, the sentiment was that they played at 2 in the afternoon, the same time as the first game. So that’s kinda cool in the big picture. Plus we won 8-1, maybe we do better without an afternoon nap? The running joke was that Marner had such a great game (goal and 3 assists, a personal best), because it’s the first game he’s played that was before his bedtime, lol

Fleury and James Neal lead Las Vegas to a thrilling win in front of the home crowd. They also put an end to a long winning streak for Tampa Bat. Woot!
The Lightning feel like this years Capitals to me.

Speaking of the Capitals, last night's match against Dallas was one of those games that was just a lot of fun to watch. Very intense for a mid-season game, each team had the nasty edge going as if it were a playoff game. Without a horse in the race, I just sat back as a neutral hockey fan and watched a great contest. FWIW, Caps won it OT.

Then, at the conclusion of that game, I switched over to watch the Coyotes/Panthers. Yotes up 2-0, and feeling good. Boom, Florida scores off the faceoff to score their first to make it 2-1. Then score two more in the 3rd to eke out a 3-2 win over the local boys. Arizona finds yet another way to lose a game. The long season gets even longer.
