Injuries late in the year are never a good thing...Bergeron broken foot, looks like Murray has concussion and out for a while...some might say that is not a bad thing

And now I hear Murray is out with a concussion suffered in practice yesterday.

I like the Pens guys in this thread. We all seem passionate about 'our team'.

I feel just as passionately about the Pens, but going the other way. I feel a hate with the intensity of the white hot heat of ten thousand suns.

Tain't no other NFL-caliber teams in Ohio last time I looked. And the Buckeyes probably have a higher payroll than the Browns or Bengals.

I remember when Nash came into the league, and I thought he was obviously talented and big, but was under the impression he was generally soft. No doubt about his scoring touch, but didn't seem to have that chip-on-shoulder part of his game. Other than the few times the B's played the Rangers, I never really paid too much attention to him.

Now I've seen a couple of games and have been watching. I've been pleasantly surprised to this point - we'll see how long it lasts. Nash is great at establishing body position and leverage (sorely lacking on the Bruins), and holy crap what a fast release, as we saw on his goal the other night. And he doesn't neglect the defensive end. IMO, without Nash, the Bruins lose that game.

That McEvoy kid is a gamer. When the bell tolls, he answers. That's a great asset for a young defenseman, to be able to ice a game with scoring touch. Definite keeper.

That release from Nash was crazy, all wrist, didn't move his arms at all, and it was a rocket.


Now, he has a reputation for going cold in the playoffs, but with the Bruins, he doesn't have to be the #1 guy, so that takes pressure off him.

Sure, I'd like to see the Pens win, but I think we're about to see the beginning of a decline. Not enough to miss the playoffs, probably not enough to equal the implosion in 2012, but enough to go quietly.

I watched part of the PIT/BOS game through the NESN broadcast. I miss listening to Jack Edwards. He's good.
Both Florida and Carolina did Pittsburgh a favor tonight, and that was wasted by the Pens pathetic performance tonight.
With the way the mighty Jim Rutherford gutted that Penguin defense, I don't think that loss tonight was an aberration.
Sure, different from what we've seen since 2018 started. Sure, the Pens behind Rutherfords masterful work won the SC the last two years.
We're now in 2018 and ain't no one playing for this years SC going to give a crap who won last year or the year before.
