NHL Season 2019-20

The Yotes are making some noise. Just finished up a pretty successful road trip, and set a team record of two consecutive games in which they came back from being multiple goals down for the win.
(Now if they could just figure out how to NOT get down by multiple goals...:rollno:)

All kidding aside, their resilience and perseverance is admirable, and I think reflects Coach Tocchet's tenacity he had as a player. This team won't contend for the Cup anytime soon and but they are improving and fun to watch.

I had a sixer of Yuengling, in bottles, shipped and it arrived yesterday. We'll make some pierogies right before the puck drops. Win or lose on the ice, it's a win in the culinary department tonight.
The Pens don't have an enforcer on the roster, which they're going to need tonight. At least this game isn't on national TV. I figure the Flyers dominate.

We had a local brewery(Regal)in Miami back in the 50s-60s. Unpasteurized-like Coors-it was the most popular beer in south FL. A-B didn't like the fact that Bud was being outsold so they bought the brand, then ruined it. It 'died'.:dead::(

That's the same theory many around these parts have too about Olympia beer.

Based on the standings and last years results I'm def not bitter. I was bitter when it happened for sure. But your team has no defense and what I know of JT is that he is not going to help a team with no defense win a cup... he helps a team that's overloaded in defense.

the islanders have a more balanced team with half the talent. Know why? Balance and coaching. Toronto wasted their money on top tier offense and forgot about the part that wins cups.... defense.

I skipped the WHOLE game. That's because I thought it was being played on Wednesday, not Tuesday! :banghead:

Somehow had it in my head that it was going to be on NBCSN's Wednesday Night Rivalries, and even planned my pizza/calzone order for game time. It wasn't until I checked my sports app late last night and saw that wonderful score of 7-1 in the Pens favor. Talk about bittersweet...thrilled by the score, but bummed that I missed the entire bleeping game!!! :mad:

Or is that a Philly only thing hahah :D I remember the old Oly cans my pops had. Not being a beer drinker I have no real understanding of the differences aside from the cans I saw :D

I think they are one of the more improved teams from last season and seem to be sticking to a process that is working

Was that the beer that was made by Artesians? I still remember those gnome brewers from some tv commercial when I was a kid.


I can't believe the wings won a game last night. I totally expected the Ken Holland revenge factor to get the oilers to blow us out by at least 5 goals. Nice to see howard get the shutout.



Also, anybody see that lacrosse goal svechnikov had in the Canes game last night?

My son sent me the video of that one. He first saw that maneuver about 10 years ago when he was playing AA hockey during high school, done by a Michigan Wolverine player, IIRC. He must have practiced that move endlessly but never got to do it in a game. He said that was the first time it's been done in the NHL to his knowledge. Tough to do it and get the puck high enough to go over the goalies' shoulder yet keep the stick below the crossbar...:thumbsup:
