NHL Season 2019-20

Interesting start....Captain Underpants looked good, so did the rest of the forwards. Once again, D zone (lack of) coverage might be an issue. And why did it have to be Connor Freakin Brown?!?!? Wish they hadn't had to trade him, he always impressed me. Like the changes on the P Play, not nearly as predictable as last year.

OK, I'll give ya that, but it's still better than any other sport.

Yes indeed, I have no disagreement with you there.
I like college hockey better than the NHL actually, but none of that where I live now sadly. There is an excellent minor league team though.
The NHL is coming to Seattle, but I'm really not all that thrilled about it.

NHL strictly on TV for me. The cost of going is exhorbitant. My wife was considering for my birthday either one Capitals game which would have been over a thousand dollars when all was said and done, or season tickets to the local ECHL Stingrays. I'm glad she chose the latter. I actually got to touch and be photographed with the Stanley Cup with no waiting in line at a Stingrays game.

And local college hockey is freakin' Thunderdome. Last game one the coaches was ejected and he was tossing equipment on the ice and cussing the whole way. i.e. a good time was had by all.

Late this afternoon, I went to program my TV to record the Flyers vs. Chicago tonight. Couldn't find a channel for it on my NHL Center Ice package. Checked the scores and found out they had started at 1:00 pm Central Time, and the game was already over. So I missed their season opener. :rollno:

But the good news (at least for me) is that the Flyers won. The game was in Prague, Czechoslovakia, so I wish I had seen it. The intro prior to puck drop might have been interesting...
