THE LEAFS NEED A GOALIE!!!!!!Yes, I am yelling on purpose! I have been saying the same thing for years, only to be told countless times that Freddy is a number one. Well, number one goalies don't hand the puck over to the opposition EVERY GAME!!!!!!! They also "steal" a game for their team from time to time, don't see that either!
If the leafs don't do something about their tender situation, this "season of hope", will be hopeless!

Tough loss. The video reviews killed us, but I'll take a 3-1 road trip through Texas/Arizona/Nevada/Colorado. Home opener tomorrow night against the Devils.

I saw some defense being played in the Igloo last night. Wow. Nice win for the Pens. 2-1 is almost as good as 1-0.
Yes, I know it's not called the Igloo, but it always will be to me.

B's beat Ducks 4-2, Pasta had 4 goals. Halak made a bunch of great saves in the 2nd period when the score was close. So far, Rask and Halak have alternated starts and both have played well.

Having had minor surgery last Friday, I got to spend a lot of time in front of the TV this weekend. Watched the entire Behind the Glass series and actually enjoyed it, despite the fact that it featured those guys in orange and black.

Reminds me that sports rivalries are really overblown sometimes, and each and every team is just made up of guys trying to fulfill their dreams of playing in the NHL, winning a Cup, or similar goal. Heck, even the much-hated Claude Giroux came across as a decent guy and a good leader. And although I'm sure I'll end up disliking some of the young guys in the Flyers' lineup down the road, for now it was cool to root for some of those rookies (Twarynski) to break the lineup with the big club, and felt bad for Farabee as he couldn't get a break during the preseason.

It was interesting to note that several former Pens' coaches are now employed in Philadelphia...Michel Therrien and Mike Yeo.

Rough night for Wings and Knights. Wasn't watching but both were ahead when I checked before wrapping it up for the night. I'd be happy if the wings can get one win in Alberta on this trip.
