NHL Season 2021

Canucks are looking much better as of late even though we’ve been losing a lot more than winning. This is somewhat what I was asking for, for some fight and bite even in a loss. They definitely did that last night and Saturday night.

It can only get better from here...right?

Man, the Stars just can't catch a break this season. Firstly, they were delayed longer than any other team due to Covid restrictions. Then they start the season and end up having even more games postponed. And now, they're not playing games due to the major storm that has blanketed the south central plains.

Here's an idea...just go ahead and have them play a couple of outdoor Winter Classics in Dallas this week. No need for an outdoor rink since the whole area is already frozen. :smug:

Hey, Leafs, take notes from Vancouver on how to NOT blow a 5-1 lead.

Jokes aside, well-earned win for the Canucks. We chased our former goaltender (HUGE morale boost I imagine after he stonewalled us on multiple occasions) and a decisive victory with a full game played for the forwards and defense.

Holtby stood on his head and looked like he had glimpses of the former Cup champ calibre he once was.

So my TalkBass friends...I was just thinking, (and I know that is a bad idea)...since the Stanley Cup, as is engraved on the actual trophy, is to be presented to the hockey champion of the Dominion of Canada....the winner of the Northern Division has to be presented with the trophy. What are our American friends going to play for?

Hey....this might just be our best chance! Leafs need all the advantages they can get...but since most of the good player are Canadian anyway....we should probably look at who has won most of the last international championships...you know, where the best players from each country compete against each other...mostly works out pretty well for Canada...

Maybe we should compare how many World Juniors Canada has won compared to the rest of the world...I'm good with that...or we could compare how many cups the Bruins have won compared to the Leafs or the Habs, but yeah, 1993 was a long time ago....
