I'll go out on a limb and say it didn't happen. The source of the accusation is a propaganda arm of certain people who Panarin has been very critical of in the Russian press.

Panarin is hugely popular in Russia and his opinions mean a lot. That's a big motivation for some powerful actors to do whatever they can to destroy his reputation.

Pens played their typical game, which means waiting until OT before winning. Don't know the stats offhand, but I think out of 10 victories so far this season, only two came in regulation. That inability to win a game in only 60 minutes is gonna catch up to them in this compact schedule.
