NHL Season 2021

I'm thinking how awesome it was when the Pens open up a 3-0 lead four minutes into the game! :hyper:

Two hours later I check the score to see they let another home game slip away to the hated Flyers. :rage:

Fixed it for you: :D

(Except I watched the whole game despite the hard-to-take first 4 minutes...)

Hmmm...I'm detecting a slight bias in your post. Rarely seen in a sports thread. :smug:

For whatever reason, it seems like the Flyers have always done well at PPG Arena/Consol Energy Center since it opened. Almost like they're guaranteed another couple of points when they're in the 'burgh. :rollno:

Ha! Doesn't do them (the Flyers) any good in the overall scheme of things though. The Pens keep winning Cups and the Flyers keep expanding the lengthy drought since their last one in 1975. And I've suffered through that entire decades-long drought with them... :banghead:

It's fine. The Bruins are showing their displeasure now on the scoreboard.

That Frederic deflection was really beautiful.
It was nice of the Caps to bring the refs tonight. Didn't help 'em though. BTW, While I'm not a B's fan, I'm even less of a Tom Wilson fan. Gotta give him credit, though. He's developed the ability to play dirty and only get caught occasionally.:eyebrow:

This is true. He's in the "2013 Marchand" phase of his career, I'd say.

He does have skills, but he gets a case of the dirties sometimes and then brings his whole team with him. Last night, immediately after Wilson took out Carlo, his linemate Vrana came over and crosschecked the prone Carlo in the back of the noggin. Just nasty.

Dude can throw down, though. He gave Tinordi a good fight, then beat Frederic later on.

I see he's getting a hearing via Zoom. Hope they come down on him. And I'm not a B's fan.
Meanwhile(back at the ranch), Panthers are looking really good. Hoping it continues.

The bolts scored 4 of 5 PP goals. 6 total unanswered against the Blackhawks. The Bolts have a habit of starting slow but down 3-0 in the first-geez. Special teams were outstanding. Yani Gourde is a monster. Coach John Cooper is still trying to fill the void for team's top scorer Nikita Kucherov who's out with a season ending injury but maybe ready for the playoffs (maybe). I suspect he could be back much sooner but his salary would have been held against the teams salary cap if he did. This way the Lightning can keep 2-3 good players from free agency this year. Brilliant if true.

Short version: True.
