NHL Season 2021

My god....the Canucks won a game...and they won against Jacob Markstrom and the Lames! What??!

First time all year the Canucks played a full 60 minute game and it showed. And is this what other teams felt when they had to face the Canucks before this season? Billion shots against Marky but nothing really going in? Sheesh.

Hey, the Pens won in regulation! That's a reason to celebrate for us, as it's been a very mediocre season so far. When they went up 4-2, it was the first two-goal lead they'd had this far this season. In their 13th game. Sigh.

Yep. Jarry is ending up not being the man after all, and even he gets beat glove side high. At this point, I'm wondering if it is goaltending coaching/development.

Good article on that Pensburgh site you linked a while back, mentioning if a new goaltending coach can fix Jarry. It says he's falling into many of the same bad habits and shortcomings that Murray had. Of course, the ever-present Marc-Andre Fleury rumors are rampant again. (As if the Pens could bring on another $7m cap hit.)

Well, Fleury just keeps winning for VGK. And he likes it there. Wouldn't be cheap.

Yeah man, it's rough watching Jarry play now. He's in a bad spot. He doesn't have any control over rebounds, that stick hand is flying all over the place. He got paid, got the number one job, and then down the tubes he went. Just like Murray. Although for me, I never thought Murray was a number one goalie, where I did think Jarry could be.
If the Pens are smart, and Fleury wants to come back, they should make it happen. The SC window is likely closed for the Pens, but maybe it's open just a crack. Go all in now or have the fire sale.

Alex Galchenyuk...do not unpack just yet. Traded twice in 48 hrs. But since he didn't leave Ottawa for Carolina, he does not have to quarantine before joining the Leafs, who quickly acquired him from the 'Canes. Now on his SIXTH team since 2018-19.

(I think that nudges him ahead of Derick Brassard in the race of who's played on the most teams in the last few years.)

Speaking of which, here's a list of players who have played for the most teams in their careers. I knew Michel Petit and JJ Daigneault were up there but forgot about Mike Sillinger. Some interesting names on that list...some of those guys I only remember playing for one or two teams but then they bounced around at the ends of their career.
