NHL Season 2021

As a former huge fan of Taylor Hall, I'm wondering if he really was worth a #1 overall pick back then. I still like the guy but his value just hasn't been there other than that MVP year with Jersey. He never seems to get past a certain point, and rarely enough to really push a team like he's capable of. Dismal this year in Buffalo, invisible last year in Arizona. Maybe Boston will be the place he rights the ship.

Penguins acquire Jeff Carter from the Kings. Didn't see that one coming but while I'm fine with the trade (couple of 3rd/4th round picks) I'd have loved this deal a few years ago. At 36, he can still contribute, and has another year on his contract, so not really a rental. Plus LA is picking up 50% of his contract. That never hurts.

Well, we're down to the homestretch of the regular season, and despite being sick of seeing the same handful of match-ups over and over, it has presented us fans with some unexpected scenarios.

Doubtful anybody would have figured Carolina leading the league in points but there they are. The Panthers have made the playoffs, and the Leafs are definitely the cream of the crop in the North division. Didn't think CBJ, Vancouver, and Calgary would be this bad either. Buffalo, Anaheim, and Jersey, thank you for participating. ;)

Too early to make a Cup prediction, but there are about 8-10 teams that could very well end up skating off with it. Going to be an interesting post-season!

True. as a native Floridonian, I'd like to se TB repeat or if they get knocked out, the Panthers finally getting the cup. I'm not bettin' nuthin'.
Meanwhile, will Torts be back?

My Blackhawks are officially out of contention, but I'm okay with that. When the season started, I truly expected them to finish the season at or near the bottom of the league. Somehow, they've managed to achieve a 500 record, through determination and heart.

Lots of young guys on the squad, so here's to next year.

I've actually enjoyed the repeat-opponents thing. At least in the East, it's led to some really exciting games with personalities carried over from series to series.

I'm getting to know many of these teams in greater depth, too, which is nice. Best of all, I haven't had to waste time watching the Canadiens this year.

Sens looks at lot better , looking good for next years.




(That is if they don't get rid of Tkachuck , Stützle , Chabot , White , Brown etc in the OFF season)
