NHL Season 2021

The coaching carousel begins with Tortorella and Tocchet "mutually parting ways" with their respective teams. Don't think either move was much of a surprise, but I was hoping the Yotes would have given Tocchet one more 'normal' season to cross that bridge into the playoffs.
For those teams that are already in the playoffs, with regular season games still on the books, do you rest any players over the next couple of games? Without a playoff schedule as of yet, there could be a ten day delay in the start of the playoffs, is it a good idea to rest players?

Definitely a good idea to rest players, especially ones that are already banged up...good time to bring up the kids and see what they may have next season...
TBL have enuff injuries, I'm skeptical about them repeating. Rest might help(?).
Looks like some interesting first round matchups...Panthers-Bolts should be fun, and Capitols-Bruins could be a dandy. Leafs-Habs for some old time original 6, as long as Price is still hurt that could work out well.
Kucherov and Stamkos' are ready to play it sounds like...that will be a great all Florida first round series for sure!!
That is my biggest concern with the Pens. They finished up the regular season earlier than most other teams, and will have a long time off prior to the playoffs. They had been playing their best hockey of the season over the past few weeks, gelling at the right time. Hoping that extended furlough doesn't lull them back to being rusty and out-of step.

Rangers fire coach Quinn to continue upheaval
Although a division rival of the Pens, I couldn't help but be impressed with the strides the Rangers made this year. Many picked them to be one step above the cellar dwellers, but they were actually knocking on the playoffs door up until the last week or so. I felt that Quinn had certainly improved over the three years he was at the helm, especially this year. I'm guessing new GM Drury had seen enough and wanted to start his tenure out in a new direction.
The door's now open for Tortorella to go back to Gotham!

I gotta admit this weekend were some of the best games I've seen in a while. Unbelievable intensity in the Caps/Bruins, VGK/Wild, and especially the Florida/Tampa Bay game.
Tremendous amount of physical play in the Cats/Bolts game...some of it was actually legal, too!
Refs let a LOT of stuff go uncalled. And that was only Game 1! At this rate, both teams are gonna be so beat up neither will want to play in the second round!

I'll admit to not being a Boston fan. But I despise the Caps. Go, B's!
