Nowhere to go but up.The Wild - with the highest paid player in history - have assumed their place at the bottom of the conference.
Do NOT jinx my team!I so want to brag on my guys. But I know better. There are at least a couple of guys here that know what I mean.
That's the last I'm sayingDo NOT jinx my team!
The rub is that Arizona will get another team even though they have recently proven they can't support one (and Bettman was willing to die on that hill) but Quebec (Nordique) and any Canadian city will not.The jersey looks great..! But I'm not sure how I feel about it![]()
Not a fan! But then I was ticked off when they dropped the Bigfoot foot.
I assume there are lots of US-based Avs fans who have no affinity at all for the Nordiques. So I'm not really sure who these throwback jerseys appeal to? I guess there are some Avs fans in Quebec who remained fans of the franchise after the move... but surely there aren't that many. Someone like me - a Canadian nostalgic for a time when the Nordiques still existed - sort of just gets bummed out seeing the jersey, as nice as it looks. Not a fan! FactIt's OK. They'll just put another team in Atlanta and then move it to Canada. It's the most proven method of adding Canadian teams.
As a way back Nordique fan that just happened to be on the receiving end of that team moving here, I still think it's pretty coolI assume there are lots of US-based Avs fans who have no affinity at all for the Nordiques. That's the vibe I got, and like it's mocking the Quebec fans. Seems kind of mean when you consider that jersey has nothing to do with an avalanche or Colorado. When I first saw it, I thought it was a joke for the funny pictures thread. Then I noticed it was from the NHL page. Not cool in my opinion.I assume there are lots of US-based Avs fans who have no affinity at all for the Nordiques. So I'm not really sure who these throwback jerseys appeal to? I hadn't thought about it that way. That's the vibe I got, and like it's mocking the Quebec fans. Seems kind of mean when you consider that jersey has nothing to do with an avalanche or Colorado.
