Pens went into Florida and beat the champs. Yeah, they were missing Barkov and Tkachuk, but they still walked out of there with a W.
Then they host Columbus and despite a furious comeback in the third, fall to the BJs in OT.
Funny thing was the Pens were outplayed by a mile in both games, yet managed to escape with three points out of four. Usually their luck is playing great for 50 minutes, then losing games in the last 10 minutes. I'll take the crappy play with the W over the heartbreak of choking away yet another one.

One of the strangest OT periods in history in Philly last night. Pens' Malkin jumps on the ice with a delayed penalty against Philly and scores what appears to be the game-winner. But as replays show, he jumped on the ice well before the goalie made it to the bench. Not a penalty for too-many-men, just an 'early substitution' call. No goal.
Minutes later the Flyers break across the Penguins' blue line, and Foerster buries a shot past Silovs, and they Flyers celebrate. Hold on...the crew in Toronto deems it was offside and no goal.
Then OT ends, and there's a scrum that ends up with Crosby and Zegras both being sent off with 10-minute misconducts, so not eligible for the shootout.
Flyers prevail in the SO but seeing two goals disallowed, a scrum, and perhaps the top SO guy for each team gone made for an interesting epilogue.

Jets are 8-3 so far and are tied for the most points in the Western Conference. Nice start! (I haven't watched a second of it yet

Interesting to see the Pens currently have the most points in the league. I thought they were projected to be a last (or near last?) place team this season. That seems unsustainable but I'm happy for them. They could learn a thing or two from the Leafs on how to be a last place team!

Great win by the Sharks. Season split with the Devils. My son and I are going to the Sharks-Avs game tomorrow. Hopefully it will be an entertaining game.
