I start talking to them in my "Welcome to Wal-Mart" voice and talk about my new puppy. They always look at me and walk away.
The problem is this is america where the bigots take over. Sometimes you have to stand up to these idiots. Believe you me I've tried to ignore them too, but sometimes I Just have to tell them to SHUT UP!
For example when I was a little younger this kid would harass me everyday about the cruelest things. I told him to shut up for days, but he never would. I tried to ignore him and he kept doing it. So I knocked him in the face and sent him to the hospital and he stopped.
ive dealt with people dissing me as long as ive been playing but this one was by far the worst experince ive ever had in music and now i really dont know if i wanna play otside of my house anymore. . [/QUOTE said:I guess I have mixed feelings about this post. Seriously, who gives a crap what your (in our case) right hand technique is. That doesn't mean crap. I play the bass all sorts of ways, and I'm sure none of its "right" lol. I guess if someone came up to me and said that I'd probably be like... "whatever douche." Yeah I'd let him play, but I guess it wouldn't phase me all that much. That quote of yours I put up there though kind of confuses me. I don't know why this would make you not want to play outside of your house anymore. I mean to each their own, but don't let a negative experience effect you that way. For example... I play for money most of the time, and there are times when producers and bands pass on me. If I let that effect me and it causes me to just shut in, then what good does that do? Fu*k em dude. Learn those songs, and next time you see him, just stare him down and play it 100 times better than he ever could. Seriously, don't take this too hard. Have some self confidence, and who cares what someone else, especially a douche like that has to say.

I wish I could play well with my thumb....it's something I practice.
