No shorts in gig contract

Sorry.. but if it's 95 degrees on stage and 3-5pm.. I'm not sweating my bu-tt off.. I'm wearing shorts !!

A couple of years ago I did an outdoor gig on a 102 in the shade day, and wore long pants AND a vest. Of course, I almost got heatstroke.

Wear a skirt!

Drummers need to be exempt from many policies. Allowances must be made.

Does Sport Kilt pass muster? Mine has my family tartan, however, it is wool and it does make my butt look big. I could go out in nothing but a sporran.

This was the 20th anniversary of this festival and the first one that wasn't 157f +-. A nice breezy 73f during our set. Our singers dress was short enough that people were probably seeing Paris and France. I do wear a kilt on occasion but avoid them on windy, tall stages.

I played a festival last weekend that actually specified a no shorts on stage policy in our contract. It ended up being the joke of the day backstage. I only noticed one rebel in shorts all day and he was everyone's hero.

I must respectfully disagree. I think she looks great. Actually I was about to say the pic belongs in the I Back a Hot Singer Babe thread.

Different tastes for different folks keeps it a wide, wonderful world.

I'm more of a wear whatever you like guy. On a hot day I feel imprisoned in long trousers and shirts with sleeves. Dudes in rock bands from back in the day often wore no shirt at all. No problem to me.

Are you under ten years old?
Is your name Angus Young?

If you answered 'No' to both of these questions, then 'No' you should not wear shorts.

If the temperature is that high, a pair of linen trousers will keep you cool, comfortable and looking better than you have a right to.

Best with pantyhose and some boots, the run is unintentional but stuff happens on stage.
