Noble Amps Preamp

In my experience the Noble is great with dirt, Fuzz in particular. I did some A/B tests with another tube DI I have (admittedly a quarter of the price of the noble) through my mixing desks and headphones and the differences hen running dirt were stark; the noble was just fantastic, adding it’s own qualities to the sound where as the other DI just got muddy. Maybe not a fair test but it confirmed how good the Noble is amp less IMO

I'd be interested to know which one, because I got the Le Bass hoping it would work, but ended up shrill with Fuzz and Muddy with distortion. The cab sim helped for fuzz, but sounds so dark I'd never use it. Aside from that, the Le Bass sounded pretty good, maybe a little gainy-er than I wanted but not bad.

Interesting. I found the cab sim on the LeBass to be very dark too and I wasn’t that impressed with it in total. I’ve also owned an omnicabsim deluxe and would rate the noble above that. The DI I used was a DHA Bass Drive Pro Link Removed which has no cab sim at all.

Don’t know what the noble does but it just sounds great.

Did you ever have the Noble at the same time and try the Noble into the OmniCabSim. I was originally wanting to get the OmniCabSim hoping it would make the Le Bass more usable for ampless gigs, but it was going to cause me to need more pedalboard space, thus the reason I'm trying to figure out if the Noble will fit the bill with no added pedals.

The OmniCabSim plays very nicely with a Noble.

Yes, I’m using them as different flavors. I have used the OCSD without the Noble on my small pedalboard as last in chain when I was going straight to an amp, and also to FOH. It has a very good DI out, but I much prefer the Noble as my last pedal. It has my sound, and I like the OCSDs for what they add.

I didn’t, no but others do.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think the noble needs a cab sim after it; it doesn’t sound harsh or fizzy with dirt. It’s a 350volt feed to the tubes vs the 9volts going to the LeBass

Well you did it, it's been ordered as a rush order so I can return the Le Bass before it's too late. Should be here next week.
