Non-Class D Amps Under 25 Pounds

Based on the interest from this thread (and not wanting to derail it):

Who uses a "large" rig and recently went to a class D ultra light replacement, any regrets? | Page 10 | TalkBass.com

Please post any Class AB, transformer based amps that weigh less than 25 pounds, and if possible list the weight.

I'll start with:

Mesa Walkabout. 13 pounds.

And these from the other thread:

GK 700rb-ii, 16.5 pounds.

Probably a lot of heads that pass that test, but if you want a combo it's gonna get heavy fast even with neos.

I think one of the guys in the other thread mentioned the Mesa Prodigy (as being under 25) which I frequently lust after.

Thanks, Middy. Did not realize the LH500 was "only" 23 pounds. Have played one multiple times through Hydrive 410 cab that was supplied backline and remember liking it a lot.

Not sure about the Prodigy, but the M6 Carbine is listed at 25 pounds.

I'm not sure if they do that anymore. Think they might have switched over to Class D in their amps that use SMPS.

Yeah, see? Tons of this stuff. I'm not trying to be an anti-Class D guy, I just think people have forgotten that the "old-tech" solidstates are still good options for non-"backbreaking" load-ins. They won't fit in the gig bag, but they are easy one-hand carries with their own tote bags or a rack bag.

Yamaha EEEngine technology is essentially a Class-AB output with a Class-D power supply.
Interestingly they can have a much smaller, and less heat sinks on the class-ab amp part than they would if they had a power supply with a solid rail voltage.
They have the patent.

Yep - it definitely is.

Similarly, the Gallien-Krueger Fusion 550 is also class G. I think it may now qualify for this thread, too - they originally weighed 29.4 pounds, but now GK lists them as weighing 25 lbs. Maybe they shaved off a few pounds in the updated version?

That's interesting, Charlie. I wrote in the other thread about how I (and another bass player) were disappointed when a backlined Mesa was replaced by a LittleMark (a recent one). I thought the LittleMark was Class AB, so figured the issue was the SMPS. Now I know better.
