I've been mulling over an area of this build I'm not happy with. When I drilled for the side dots, I used a hand drill instead of the pillar drill and the holes came out a little loose. I didn't think much of it at the time, i just glued them in with ca glue thinking the glue would fill any gaps. But the plastic outer tube of the luminlay kind of bled into the glue, like it melted them a bit so now they look really messy.
Try to ignore the half carved neck and over depth fret slots!
They just look messy. I've come up with a fix. The luminlay rod fits exactly into this brass tube, increasing the diameter to 4mm.
So I'll drill out the existing dots to 4mm and stick the new improved version in, which will cover the bleed. Suggestions on how to cut the pipe with the luminlay inside will be gratefully received.
