Seeing as NOFX has a song about them, I'd agree. Can't link it from work, but I think it's called "Creeping Out Sara". Funny stuff.

@Richland123 they had lots of international success prior to the Lego Movie soundtrack. On that note, they are involved in a ton of major soundtracks I had no idea about. I just took a quick glance at their wikipedia.
I used to listen to a public radio DJ in Houston who was from Canada. She used to play one cut by Stompin' Tom Connors during each show. I became a fan.
One of my cats- Le Puud- is Quebecois, and he keeps trying to get me to listen to his Beau Dommage records. It's getting annoying, and he insists that they're "le plus grande troupe poru tout les temps!!...". I don't hear it.
I owned the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack as a child, I know they had pretty decent success. The other confirmation is the fact "Weird" Al Yankovic ripped on them with "Headline News." CTD did Peter Pumpkin Head WAY better than XTC in my books.
@Thrust Meatnozl ohhhh... Saga. How did I miss that one? I don't think anybody else mentioned them yet.

Saga is one of my all time favorite bands. They have had quite a lot of success in Europe (very big Germany in particular); but only a few hits in the U.S.
Vandenberg was from The Netherlands, not Canada
Here is a long forgotten Canadian band.
Little Daddy & The Bachelors
The lead guitar player was Tommy Chong before Cheech & Chong fame and the drummer was Floyd Sneed, who went on to play in Three Dog Night.
The group eventually teamed up with U.S. performer Bobby Taylor to form Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers and recorded for Motown Records. They did have a U.S. Top 40 hit song.
