NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

I'm a pedal newbie with a Noble who's thinking of getting an OCS. How's the OCS working out with the Noble? From your pic it looks like the OCS is run before the Noble and then you're using the Noble for di. Do you use it the same way when you do use an amp? And, have you ever tried the reverse (Noble into the OCS)? Like I said, pedal newbie.

You are correct that the OCS is before the Noble, which sends direct to the board. I'm not interested in doing it the other way on this pedalboard. I also haven't had the opportunity to run the OCS through my amp in a live situation, yet. I plan on doing it sometime in the future. I may also run it direct to FOH after a Super Symmetry on my small pedalboard sometime.

It was a bit of a cold start with me and the Omni but man oh man am I digging this thing. I can’t realy put into words how much magic this thing has after dirt pedals. On it’s own I am finding it more useful as well to tighten up everything and add a little bit of girth to my tone.
I find myself playing a lot more as well because it’s so easy to grab and noodle along to my music on the couch or on my screen porch if it’s nice out.

That's so great man!!
I'm so glad you're liking it!

I'm trying to find the answer in the thread, and perhaps I skipped over it - the MONO headphone version, does the AUX in get summed into a mono signal or is it just the Left input for example?
Hello Alien8!!
On the mono version, both channels are summed..nothing is lost..well except the sense of space :P

So for a guy looking for an hpf/lpf, tone shaper, backup Di, and a headphone amp this would be the piece of gear to get?

Asking for a friend...

Certainly worth considering. A few new competitors have been creeping on the scene, but this is the only analog one I’m aware of.

The tones i'm getting from my OmniCabSim are pretty sick, however I do get some noticeable "hiss"/noise when using the high response knob set to anything but all the way to "Hi Fi". Is that normal?
I experienced the same thing when running dirt into it, but to be fair I run dirt with a pretty hefty upper mid/treble content boost. Are you playing through headphones or a cab?

Going into an RNDI > Logic and also with a cab. I used it the other day for a show and the engineer didn't say anything about the hiss, though.

The hiss could be covered up in the full band mix.

What iteration of the OCS do you have? I know Daniel changed the high rolloff curve from the Deluxe v1 to the Deluxe V2. I haven't tried the latter though so I can't speak to it's effect

That's what I figured. I just got mine this January, so I assume it's latest version :)
