NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

I’m looking forward to trying it. Glad to have a friend who will loan me his for a bit to try in “real world” situations.

I’m thinking this may be what I have been looking for to help my DI/IEM sulound be more like my sound when I use my amp.

Also loved my tone with no effects the last couple gigs. If I could get a good tuner/cab sim/DI rig on a Nano+ size board I’d be happy.
I'm running mine into my Neve RNDI. Awesome results :D

Considering an order for the OCSD...question:

Will this eliminate the need for my Broughton hpf, if I’m using the OCSD? (Always looking to free up real estate...)
Yep! The ''Cab Size' knob is a high pass filter. If you check out the manual on the DSM webpage it has really great images that show exactly what each knob does.

1. Post #1146 is a great demo of this. Very illustrative off all the settings without gunking up the tone with tons of distortion or effects first. Thanks for sharing (and making me more pumped about my pre-order)!

In theory, it very well could. The "hi response" is a LPF, and then the "cab size" and "resonance" controls the HPF frequency and resonance (respectively). Here's a look at the specifics form the manual.

I think it will. It definitely has an adjustable HPF and LPF, whether it does it in a way you're familiar or comfortable with is a different story. But I know I dont need my Fdeck any more thats for sure. and the HF control rolls off the highs perfectly for me.

Wow, I feel like an idiot. Never heard of El Diablo before. Looked them up. Turns out I live no more than 7 blocks from them, which for Minneapolis is not a lot. I know what I'm doing this weekend
