NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

More into subtle enhancements than effects.
If you use a dirty preamp/od/dist/fuzz in front of it, the effect is not subtle at all..with clean sound it is more subtle, until you play it loud, then the effect is quite noteworthy...it is like a compressor in that sense..it is subtle on some situations, but quite noticeable on others..

Are any of you using the DI feature heavily on this? From what I'm hearing the gain structure is quite nice and it shouldn't have any trouble driving a good length of cable.
We run our band practices through Logic at our drummer's studio, so I'm always running DI and the OCS has been great for that since adding it to my board.

Ordered :)

@Dsmnoisemaker can you clarify a couple things - as far as I can tell in the manual the Mid Response is cut only at 450 Hz, while the Punch is boost/cut at 800 Hz? Is that correct? So "flatest" would be Mid Response at max and Punch at 50%?

Thanks!
Actually the punch control is just boost, so the flattest mid response is mid at max and punch at min..

Well folks, the OCS has its work cut out. Had a 2nd rehearsal last night with my new Barbershop and VMTD. Absolutely insane combination. im hoping the OCS will help with overall warmth when I engage the vintage tone pot on my 4003s. I currently have the pot disengaged because I need the warmth the modern pot provides. Matches my band's tunes better.

@Ziltoid

Smuggle back as many as you can, we can set up a pipeline. Should be able to get back enough for nearly half the bass-playing population of Canada before you get nailed by Canada Customs agents, and by then, I'll have wrote the movie script and we all capitalise on that ... meanwhile you'll be sittin' pretty as kingpin in a provincial penetentiary, with the guards all well bribed incentive induced ... hey, it can't be all bad. Warm in the winter, roof over your head, three gourmet meals per day (payola to the pen-chefs, too, natch)...

Underground cab sim railway? Maybe he can use the study of its political ramifications for his thesis?

Hahaha i would be the pablo escobar of cabsims...

As an update, my vacation week has been pretty nice..im coming back to the shop (ie home ) tomorrow. I sold 10 out of the last 20 units this week so i think i will have to ship them on tuesday (i wont have the time to package and label them all tomorrow) ..there are still 10 on stock, but the local pedal shop wants more (they sold out their stock in less than a month which is pretty amazing for a local brand) ..the shop has not yet bought them, so if you want yours better buy them asap..

I'll be working as hard as i can to make the second batch to come out on april..also remember than the second batch and following will have the full price tag..

Cheers and thank you all!!!!
